“Jimmy Fallon got into the holiday spirit Wednesday night by giving everybody in his Tonight Show audience a free iPad Air 2,” Philip Elmer-DeWitt reports for Fortune.
“Fallon has a long history with Apple. His desk on the set always sports the latest-model MacBook. He’s done live iPad-assisted duets with the likes of Billy Joel and Robert Plant,” P.E.D. reports. “And he teamed up this fall with Justin Timberlake to do some brilliant — but uncredited — voice work on a series of iPhone 6 ads.”

MacDailyNews Take: That’s “iPad Air 2,” Jimmy! (There’s a big difference between and iPad 2 and an iPad Air 2!)
[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “BD” for the heads up.]
Can you imagine the deafening sound of crickets if they had been given an Android tablet?
I’m laughing thinking about it!! Ha ha..
I went to Amazon recently to search for an iPod touch, and it was 8th!!! on the list, behind 7 other Android pieces of utter shit. Amazon has devolved into an Android cesspool. Yuck.
…I’d have been making gagging sounds.
Fscking Hulu can’t connect from Canada, eh? ANNOYING!! And it’s always NBC content it seems…
Rather ironic that video on MDN requires Flash to play. That means I cannot watch it.
Plays fine in my iPhone 6 Plus but the MDN app prevents it from playing horizontal full screen. Restricts playing to only as a tiny letterbox in the middle of the vertical ONLY view. 😩😱😭
Can’t believe he called it an iPad 2 instead of an Air 2. What a major misstatement. 😁
Well, w/ people trading-in/cashing-in on their old iPads, maybe Jimmy got a really good deal, saved a lot of money, and really _did_ give away iPad 2’s, and not iPad Air 2’s, which would still be better than any Android tablets out now. {hehehe}
I went into a store last week and saw Nike shoes and made the connection on “Air”. I was surprised I had never noticed it before. Apple had borrowed it from Nike.
