“Apple on Friday supplied developers with a third beta of OS X 10.10.2, a forthcoming maintenance and security update for its Yosemite operating system for Mac, with indications that it may address lingering Wi-Fi issues,” AppleInsider reports.
“OS X 10.10.2 build ’14C81f’ is now available to developers on the Mac App Store or through Apple’s Dev Center website,” AppleInsider reports. “Testers have been asked to focus on Wi-Fi, Mail, and VoiceOver when sampling the pre-release software.”

The WiFi problems persisted in the last update. Here’s hoping this one is better.
The manager asked how the update looked.
He heard, “Why Fine!”
The release engineer had actually said, “WiFi ehnnnn”
It seems better. I.e. it is working now. Previously I had no trouble connection to an Airport Extreme (current model). I could not however successfully connect to and use my personal hotspot from any of 3 different iOS 8 devices. After this update I can now connect and use personal hotspots from iOS 8 devices.
Agreed. WiFi and personal hotspot are much better for me with the last public update.
Mail has been a frequent frustration for me and, based on other postings, for a number of others. I really hope all will be good after this release. Mail isn’t the only issue with Yosemite, but it’s the most important for me at the moment. I have not had WiFi issues as so many others have had. Then again, I’m not using a hotspot. It would be nice if the VoiceOver issues included some of the non-VoiceOver voice issues though.
I’ve noticed in the last few weeks a problem with bonjour, wifi or not, many of my devices don’t seem to be broadcasting themselves properly/consistently.
Now fix the iOS lock screen photo failure!
