Am i missing something here?
Where is tye apple pay option ?
Sure, why not play nice now? Apple will soon own ALL that lovely Pay space soon enough. Heh heh.
Talked to insiders at pay pal. Pay pal owns the banking portal that all apple pay transactions clear so pay pal owns part of the backend of what apple is doing. Pay pal gets a cut no matter so they are happy with apples success.
Paypal is NOT the processor they are the Gateway. They make money from their merchants buy marking up their buy rate from the processor.
it that’s the case, Apple Pay is pointless and might as well just use Paypal
Elon would be happy if Tim bought PayPal. That would be a sensible acquisition.
It might be a little more sensible if Apple bought PayPal instead of Tim.

ya got me
🙂
Sounds like back scratching.
Waiting for Pay Pal to join the Apple Pay echo system.
Now I have to wonder who’s worse, Pay Pal or Square Trade?
that’s disappointing.
My hopes of Apple Pay making my Paypal account irrelevant in the not too distant future just got slashed
Clearly a move to placate the competition commission (or US equivalent)
Money is money as long as the check clears.
PayPal owns the backend of what Apple has built so PayPal makes something on every Apple pay transaction.
