“Christian Bale will not be Steve Jobs after all,” Borys Kit and Tatiana Siegel report for The Hollywood Reporter. “Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the actor has fallen off the Jobs biopic that is being directed by Danny Boyle.”
“The Sony project, which has a script by Aaron Sorkin and is being produced by Scott Rudin, Guymon Casady and Mark Gordon, was on track to begin shooting this winter for a quick turnaround,” Kit and Siegel report. “Boyle is due in town this week to meet with actors and actresses for the movie. Seth Rogen is in discussions to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, but no official offer has been made. It is unclear how Bale’s departure will affect casting.”
Kit and Siegel report, “Sources say Bale, after much deliberation and conflicting feelings, came to the conclusion he was not right for the part and decided to withdraw.”

Okay, then how about P.J. Clapp?
No!!!! Too good to be true I guess… The whole thing will probably get shelved.
Too difficult. He’s still alive in our minds… Who would want to play that role?
I still think Noah Wyle did such a good job in Pirates of Silicon Valley that he should be given the shot. After all, even Steve, himself seemed to enjoy it.
I second that. It’s just logical.
Ralph Fiennes.

Denzel Washington
Denzel could pull it off.
(One of my fav actors)
Better than anyone they have listed.
The movie sounds like a clusterflock. Too many cooks and not enough kitchen.
Computer-generated Clark Gable!
Frankly, Sculley, I don’t give a flying fuck.
I think John Malkovich could pull it off.
Brandon Routh. A bit tall, but he could do it!
There are plenty of drug taking hippies around that can do an impression of Steve Jobs.
