This allows T-Mobile to advertise “free iPads”, making them seem as cheap and as affordable as the iPhones seem to be.
And T-Mobile’s no-contract plans with interest-free loans is ultimately the best way to buy these devices. If others jump on the same bandwagon, there will be a significant bump of iPad replacements in the coming months, among people who weren’t planning on replacing their perfectly functional old iPads.
“And T-Mobile’s no-contract plans with interest-free loans…”
???
iPad Air 2, 16GB, $499 from Apple Store.
24×26.24 = 582.24.
What is the extra $84.24?
24 x $26.24 = $629.76, but your point remains. It’s probably the “bad at math” tax.
The one T-Mobile is selling you is WiFi+Cellular, which Apple sells for $629. The $499 one is Wi-Fi-only.
Good Catch. I stand corrected.
No problem. 🙂 I’m also suspicious when I see good deals.
