Analyst: Apple Watch production starts in January, possible limited sales in February

“Brian Blair with Rosenblatt Securities today opines that production by Apple of its Apple Watch smartwatch has been delayed yet again, from a prior plan to start in November to now perhaps starting in January,” Tiernan Ray reports for Barron’s.

“Blair thinks this means the Watch cold formally debut, in limited quantities, by February,” Ray reports. “Blair thinks that with the watch starting at $349, the device is a ‘premium priced piece of hardware’ and that means there’s questions about how high demand will be. ‘We continue to believe the mid-tiered steel line will start in the $499 price range, with the 18k gold line starting in the $999 price range,’ he writes.”

    1. They’re grasping at straws. You’re going to see a lot of people who never wear a watch and never would have been in the market for a watch, purchasing an Watch. Me, I like wearing a watch. It’s one of the few pieces of jewelry I wear. I’m really looking forward to getting one. Such a cool piece of technology, and it looks beautiful too. Bling me Apple!

  1. Hmmmm, Apple announces three weeks ago that the Apple Watch “will launch in early spring”. Now here you have a boy genius telling us on October 3rd that the Apple watch has been delayed yet again for a February launch…….

On top of this ridiculous error; Apple never ever announced or suggested a November launch, more analists (sic) made these erroneous statements.

Do these guys really think were this stupid, or are they just ignorant of anything resembling the facts?
