“Just before the public get their hands on the latest smartphones from Apple this Friday, the reviews of Tim Cook’s new hardware are coming in,” Ewan Spence reports for Forbes. “The screen is just part of the new design cues found in both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Moving away from the sharp and distinctive edges of the iPhone 5S ‘the iPhone 6 is thinner, and has curved edges,’ writes Walt Mossberg at Re/Code.”
“Re/Code’s Lauren Goode takes a look ago one of the big advantage of the iPhone 6 Plus… the battery: ‘In my tests, which involved setting the display brightness to 50 percent and cycling through my regular routine of apps and phone calls, the iPhone 6 Plus would last from early one morning until evening the following day,'” Spence reports. “The consensus view is that with the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has two hit smartphones going on sale this Friday.”

The flurry of positive, almost fawning reviews is infecting the mainstream media and will excite curiosity in the general public, who will bloat the crowds at their Retail stores.
That’s being abetted by the antics of the carriers and other retail outlets, all frenziedly competing for the most valuable customers in the industry.
And even for the tech savvy, the drool factor tends to overwhelm the meh factor. Excepting, of course, an eclectic clique of specialised nerds, and the confederation of pathological haters who devour their own kind when they stray.

What, jouranalists writing a positive review for the new iPhone? Wow I hope the stock doesn’t drop too much. Must be tough on those guys. Boy is Apple going to see a lot of them.

This is the first time since ’07 I will likely not wait to the end of my 2-year contract to buy a new iPhone. The “6” sounds like a winner, and I want to explore the options provided with NFC. Haven’t ordered yet. Still want to see the two sizes in person.
Wow, what a difference from last year. Last year there was anti-Apple article after anti-Apple article trying to convince the public the 64-bit processor was a marketing gimmick, the iPhone 5c was not priced properly, there was no larger iPhone option, etc. This year it seems ninety percent of the articles and reviews have been very positive. I think one of the reasons for this change in tone is because of Apple Pay. Apple’s new effortless payment system benefits banks, credit card companies, merchants, app developers, websites, Google/Android and consumers. There is just too much investment in this effort to allow the typical anti-Apple FUDsters free reign.
Perhaps there is some reason for all this adulation, after all…
