Apple “is planning to hold its next event on Oct. 21, where it will unveil two new iPads and announce the release of OS X Yosemite, the next version of its Mac operating system, according to sources familiar with the matter,” Micah Singleton reports for The Daily Dot.
“Apple plans to unveil the sixth generation of its iPad and the third edition of iPad mini during the event,” Singleton reports. “OS X Yosemite… is slated to be released immediately after the event.”

I guess Cook was telling the truth when he said they had great products in the pipeline
they will also announce the 5.5 in iPod touch
I’d love a new iPod Touch with 128Gb. I still like those delectable dedicated devices.
2 new iPads? A new Air and Mini or possible the 13″ Maxi iPad?
iPad Plus
Do you think that with all their new products that they may also have an iPad pro?
The size of the new Surface Pro 3 would be amazing on an iPad. I played around with one at a Staples recently and all I could do was hope a bigger iPad was in the pipeline especially considering how they’ve been able to significantly reduce the bezel and weight of iPad Air.
MacPad
Big question is will it be bigger?
Dalrymple says, “Nope.”
I really wish Apple would go back to having a January or February event. This oddly clumped September/October product launch schedule is bizarre to me. It seems like we go the entire Winter and almost all of Spring before we hear from them again at WWDC. Granted they tend to launch new Macs during that lull in media events, but they do so with hardly any fanfare. I am assuming we will see some sort of event when the Apple Watch is released, but I still wish they would break it up more.
Makes no sense releasing new products in January as apple would lose sales in the Christmas period.
yea i was always confused as to why they would announce products right after new years, which would make those products 11 months old by the time xmas came around. Thats when macworld always was. Once they abandoned macworld they righted their ship
This is why no more MacWorld Conventions in SF in January sponsored by Apple & Apple Keynote address.
maxiPad – Bigger than Bigger than Bigger
Bigger than bigger THEN bigger
