Expert: Record preorders for Apple’s 64-bit iPhone 6/Plus spark envy of Samsung, other iPhone copycats

“In the first 24 hours of preordering, Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus orders hit a record 4 million, the kind of demand that Apple’s biggest competitor Samsung likely envies,” Althea Chang reports for CNBC. “That compares with 2 million iPhone 5 orders made within 24 hours after preordering began, according to the company.”

“‘I can tell you that Samsung wishes that they had that sort of demand,’ said Mark Spoonauer, editor in chief of LaptopMag.com,” Chang reports. “‘With the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, people are getting a bigger screen, a faster processor, more enhanced camera and I think that puts a lot of pressure on Samsung,” Spoonauer said.”

ThermonuclearChang reports, “‘Between the two devices, the iPhone 6 Plus seems to be the most exciting of the two because not only do you get the bigger screen, but you also have optical image stabilization in the camera and you have a really cool dual-pane effect when you’re looking at apps that take advantage of a larger and sharper display,’ Spoonauer said.”

      1. More they envy, more they get nervous, More TV commercial bashing apple.

They don’t know what they can do.

If only they can use their brain and money, instead of no brain and a lot of money.

Losers can never make it, however they may bark.

  1. I’m beginning The Damn Dung from Samsung campaign. Take that, crApple! We’re Dung, which is, uh, NOT a copy of crAp AT ALL!!1

iOS 8, shmate. We, at Samsung, have a great revolutionary technology we like to call:

Randroidâ„¢ – a guaranteed random version of Android for your new smartphone, regardless of how much you spend.

    1. Using the same words better:

Samsung, other iPhone copycats envious of record preorders for Apple’s 64-bit iPhone 6/Plus.

      Using better words:

Assmung, other filthy thieves, wail and gnash teeth, deny culpability, stomp feet, spread lies and spin truths over Apple’s continued success.

  2. Incredible spike in interest. There’s an article on Cnet…hands on iphone 6 Preview with over 1k posts and nearly as many lurking.
The stench of fear is palpable, the incredulity and trolling massively laughable.
Something about ‘There’s no such thing as bad publicity’.
