No mistake here, I did my research & I know I’ll be happy! Yeah, I’ll have an “iFablet”©™ or “BAP” Big @$$ Phone but I don’t care! 😉
I even created a cutout with cardboard backing and tried it in various pants pockets, held it in landscape and portrait modes. The fact that it is full HD and 64GB of memory will be great.
The author is confused and I am an idiot reading that shit and responding to it in the first place.
One factor not a lot of folks discussed is weight. 6+ is approx 1.5oz heavier than 6. One is going to feel it if uses for long periods of time.

I ordered the gold 128GB iPhone 6+. No second thoughts. No hesitation. Going after the big diff compared to my 64GB dark gray iPhone 5S. Even if I do end up paying over the next 20 months a premium price near that of a lap top. Yow!!

I haven’t upgraded my iPhone 4 yet, but I’m going to the iPhone 5s. I’ve liked how easy it is to slip the 4 into my pocket all these years… I have a calculator the size of the 6 Plus and no way can I see carrying that thing around comfortably. I never did like the bigger Samsung phones I saw in the past either. TOO BIG!

I am going to order a iPhone6. I don’t need a phablet sized screen. If i need a bigger screen ill use my iPad. Also i worry about a larger phone not fitting into my pocket.
I think the REAL surprise will be that Apple keeps selling the “small” iPhone 5S at a brisk pace. It’s still better than any smartphone that does not have an Apple logo, and it’s now $100 less expensive, $150 less for the 32GB model. Available immediately. And the iPhone 5C will become MORE popular than before, now that it is the “free” option.
By the end of this iPhone model year, Apple will start working on a “new” small iPhone to replace the iPhone 5S in 2016, even while the larger iPhones enjoys their own success.
That’s what I’m expecting for, because, if for updating my iPhone I have buy such these new size I’ll keep my 5s till I find something that fits my needs. 4 inch is maximum of a mobile ‘PHONE’ for me.
Yeah, I expect the 5S will become the 5… T, or something, where it will get Pay and the other goodies.
I got the space grey 64gb 6+. I just felt like I needed to pay more than others.. Actually I wanted something drastically different than what I have, with the option to return it and grab the smaller one. My friends with S5’s always say they wish they had the note 3 for its screen size so that’s kind of what I’m building off of. Also I did a pocket test with the note 3 and it fit just fine, so the thinner 6+ seems like it will work for me
That’s exactly why I went with the 6+. I’ve had an iPhone since Day One (I stood in line), and I figured, why not change it up? I also have huge hands. My 5S doesn’t even cover the space between the inside base of my thumb and the web of my fingers, so I imagine I’ll be able to manage the 6+ just fine.
And then there’s the optical image stabilization…

After using the Note 3 for a month earlier this year, I knew I wanted a larger iPhone. For the 30 days using the larger phone, I rarely grabbed my iPad for anything other than specific work-related things, which were minimal

No mistake here either. I ordered the 128GB model. The selling point for me between the two models was the optical image stabilization and battery. I did research, printed out a cardboard mockup to see how it fits. Will be just fine with me.
I did the same thing with cardboard, even layered it to get roughly the right thickness to it as well. Even my 14 yr old daughter said she’s take the 6+ … which is good, because that’s what she’s getting in a year!
This is a dumb article. The author should provide his/her rationale in the article! Maybe they want us to buy 6(es) so they can purchase more 6 a Plus (es).
I think the rationale is that he had to write something people would click on. I bought the 6+, but only after “testing” it with a cardboard model.
I got the 6+ larger screen better camera in that it has image stabilization. I pay extra for camera lens with that IS and a lot more than the iPhone 6+ costs. So I know what I am getting and I’m happy with it.
Lol. I need a bigger screen to have more real estate to be able to see it better. Period. The 6 isn’t a large (no pun intended) enough difference over my current 5s. Thus, I want the 6+.
Why is this hard for some people to get? Some people (myself and others) need the larger screen because of our crappy vision! 😉 We want to not have to use our reading glasses all the time with our phone.

Interface elements are actually a little smaller on the 6+ display due to the higher pixel density.

Or desktop so size makes no difference. I suspect I might need a magnifying glass to use an apple watch. I was able to navigate ios6 things like podcasts without glasses. Now with ios7 not a chance!
I ordered an iPhone 6 16GB Space Gray. It specs at almost the same size as my Nexus 4 (LG made unlocked Android) with about an extra half inch of height and it is far from a Phablet.

i agree. was strongly considering the 6 plus but ultimately went with the Gold 6 @ 128 gb.
the plus will be nice for games, browsing etc, but not when you have to carry it around in your back pocket

Was I was sure I just wanted the 6, but I made a wooden mockup of the 6 plus and carried it in my front pants pocket for three days. I would pull it out and hold my 5S on top of it. Turns out I likde it, not so big as I imagined. Of course I am 6′ 3″ and have pretty large hands. My wife went for the 4.7 however. She gets hers on the 17, mine Oct 13 to 24. Damn.

I ordered the iPhone 6+ 128GB, I got it because it’s like an iPhone/iPad with its screen so I’m happy, the only mistake I made was not ordering it earlier. Month and a half wait time ugh.

I preordered the 6 plus and no I don’t feel like I made a mistake. I ordered it because I wanted a large screen like the galaxy note and I also got it because I feel the optical stabilization is going to help all of the blurry pictures I currently take on my 4s
I ordered the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus in Gold. (Was debating about the color up until the last second.)
I didn’t make a mistake. I put a lot of thought into whether I should get the 6 or 6 Plus. After looking at some “actual size” pictures I decided the 6 Plus was big enough that I can cancel my iPad mini’s data plan and sell it…the 6 Plus will be the one device I need. It will simplify my life. Lots of my friends have ginormous 5.5″ androids and have for a while and they love them and they get along just fine. I will too. Very soon, it’s not going to look weird to pull a 5.5″ phone out of your pocket in public…it’ll just look normal. Apple sets the standard.
Real fanboys don’t let their friends drive androids. Help them come to the light, or else shun them. They are not clean!
I’m getting one since I’ll save money from getting an iPad also. The size will “alleviate” my need for iPad (hopefully :P)
