“‘There are constantly new patents, and some come to market sooner than others… It could be several years before this makes its way into mainstream,’ said Jeremy Rosenberg, senior vice president and head of digital at Allison+Partners,” Chang reports. “According to Apple’s filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, buttons, microphones, speakers and pressure sensors could be mounted under flexible displays, adding new functionality to devices without adding clutter.”
