Apple debuts new ‘Dreams’ TV ad for iPhone 5s

Apple has debuted a new television advertisement called “Dreams” on U.S. broadcast and cable networks.

The new spot shows a variety of people using iPhone 5s (along with an 11-inch MacBook Air) to monitor weather, set precious stones into jewelry, translate language, examine flight plans, take fire emergency calls, conduct veterinary care, paint murals, and meter soil pH.

The ad closes with the text, “With the power of iPhone 5s, you’re more powerful than you think,” then “iPhone 5s,” and finishes on the Apple logo.

On their YouTube channel page, Appel notes that the music used throughout the voiceover-free ad is a song called “When I Grow Up” by Jennifer O’Connor.

    1. Ah, give him a break. The commercial director said “CUT! You expect people to believe that? C’mon guy, put some excitement into it! All right, places people, let’s do it again.”

      1. Oops, never mind. I found the list of apps used in video.
Just go to Apple main site, and find video towards bottom of page.
Click on it and you’ll see the apps to explore, below the vid.

      1. Oh fuck you. Apple’s two best ad campaigns were Get a Mac and the iPod dancing silhouettes. Neither feathered any schmaltz/sentimentality or exploding robots. Apple used to make cool ads, now all they can seem to make are schmaltzy ads for people who want to say “awww how cute”.
