“Apple today released the third beta of iOS 8, which brings a number of improvements, changes, and bug fixes to the beta software that was first introduced on June 2,” Juli Clover reports for MacRumors.
“iOS 8 beta 3 includes a new beta version of the Find My Friends and Find My iPhone apps,” Clover reports. “According to the release notes, Find My Friends allows users to move their friends list to an iCloud account if necessary.”
“There’s a new popup window in beta 3 giving users the option to upgrade to iCloud Drive. Introduced at WWDC, iCloud Drive lets users store any type of file,” Clover reports. “Though iCloud Drive can be turned on, it does not appear to be fully functional at this time.”

Meanwhile at an airport called “El Prat” in Barcelona, two airplanes were in what is technically known as ‘a near miss’. It has been reported (by me) that the request to increase security by requesting passengers turn on their electronic devices is now in doubt as the prat who runs the airport may indeed be a prat!!! 🙂

Those two planes were never as close to each other as the camera angle makes out and probably in no real danger of collision. The airborne pilot did the right thing and erred on the side of caution, but I don’t see what the big deal is.
I guess “Trained pilot does what trained pilots are trained to do” isn’t a very exciting headline.
I am thinking of giving such stories as this one a hand off!

Further reporting by me indicate that security experts internationally now doubt whether the request to ask passengers to switch on their electronic devices is being carried out properly as they now think it quite possible that the airport manager is indeed a prat! 🙂
