Tim Cook, Apple employees march in LGBT Pride Parade in San Francisco

Apple was out in full force including CEO Tim Cook for the Pride Parade in San Francisco yesterday, Seth Weintraub reports for 9to5Mac.

“Apple’s CEO hasn’t ever been ambiguous about his support for LGBT issues and he was joined by Apple Environment Director Lisa Jackson and what looks like thousands of other Apple employees on Market St. in San Francisco today,” Weintraub reports. “Employees… also [handed] out $1 iTunes gift cards in celebration.”

“The 44th Annual San Francisco Pride Parade comes just two days after a CNBC host, Simon Hobbs, accidentally outed Tim Cook — who is widely reported to be gay, but has not formally come out — during a panel discussion,” Michelle Broder Van Dyke reports for BuzzFeed.

  1. I think it is sad that there are divisions of a human race. One race. Many cultures. As a CEO, Tim Cook, included a type of culture while excluding others. The mission of a company is to provide seriously superior service to ALL of its customers. That doesn’t have to include a march down the street. Well since it is started maybe he will do the Million Man march too. Then another, and another, and another….. Get the point?

          1. Actually, I have posted photographs taken by a walking around during the day in San Francisco during a gay pride event. He just snapped pictures of what people do in broad daylight at a gay pride event where kids can watch in amazement. There are blow jobs, jerking off your recent acquaintance. Walking around with a hard on. Being whipped by naked ladies. Probably a lot of anal sex right there in the street. That is a lot of pride. All I am doing is sharing actual information about what gay pride is.

            1. Ah, the fettish fair?

Do you see the difference between a fettish fair, which includes straight, gay, and bisexual participants, and is an event about sexual fettishes, and the pride parade, which features mostly gay Americans walking down a street?

Folsom =/= a gay pride event

            2. kent, you are very preoccupied with one tiny event in one tiny corner of the planet.

Frankly, I don’t like the public sex either. But your preoccupation is misplaced.

What about being disgusted at all the heterosexual strip clubs and sex shows? How about you get disgusted at all the fine heterosexual fathers/grandfathers/uncles/sports coaches fucking the little children under their supposed “protection”. I could go on and on.

What a few individuals do, that you may not like, says nothing about “being gay”, in general. And there are ENORMOUSLY more heterosexual individuals doing obnoxious and/or abhorrent and/or disgusting and/or profoundly evil things.

            3. I am still looking for the nice urban outdoor venue where the public is wandering around where men go, with their wives and girlfriends, to get blowjobs on the park bench and have anal sex, while kids romp nearby with their parents. And city cops protect the sexual performers. So far I have not been able to these public displays in the sunshine in daytime on the city square. This must be due to the enormous pride the LGBTQTMG crowd has about their ability to maintain erections around strangers while their partner pleasures himself.

            4. Nope, Kent — your criterion for “horrible” just doesn’t cut it.

I already said I don’t like it either. But this public display is NOTHING compared to the epidemic of child fucking by “fine heterosexuals” throughout the country.

            5. Sean, you have a lot of hate in you. I did not say anything was horrible. All I have done this entire time is show what happens at a particular fair in broad daylight in San Francisco in a city square where people of all ages could be just walking by. I did not judge. In fact I said what I have heard – that these people are just filled with pride and they only give public blow jobs because they were born to do this. It is not a decision they make to go out on the street and jerk off some stranger in public, or to walk around with an erection for the world to see. They do this because they have no choice. These are not people who are in charge of their sex organs. These individuals do not have free will, morality or even concern for the sensitivity of others. They just perform public sex acts in front of children because they are like wild animals. This is what they do. They are not bad they just have no more self control than a dog in heat. The genetic factor means these people have some long ago formed need or instinct which requires public sexual acts, which are unrelated to reproducing. That part is a bit different than the animal kingdom, but still based on how evolution has introduced a genetic factor and this public sex thing is somehow part of how these people have come to not only survive, but be successful and are now putting lesser humans out of existence. Certain Christian types are falling by the wayside as this more powerful evolutionary model becomes dominant.

I think you should chill out and let your hate go. Don’t be so angry all the time. Maybe you need to go out and try this. Have a public erection. See what people say. It might give you some pride and less anger.

            6. “All I have done this entire time is show what happens at a particular fair in broad daylight in San Francisco in a city square where people of all ages could be just walking by. I did not judge. In fact I said what I have heard – that these people are just filled with pride and they only give public blow jobs because they were born to do this.”

Your reference to “these people” and “pride,” coupled with the fact that this story is about an LGBT Pride Event, leads me to think you are talking about homosexuals. There is a difference between being born gay and choosing to indulge yourself at a sex fair. Many gay people find these street fairs abhorrent.

“It is not a decision they make to go out on the street and jerk off some stranger in public, or to walk around with an erection for the world to see.”

Yes, it is a decision. You are using one argument that supports public recognition of homosexuality—its immutability—and misdirected it towards a conscious decision people make. This is a non-sequitur. Empty words.

“They do this because they have no choice. These are not people who are in charge of their sex organs. These individuals do not have free will, morality or even concern for the sensitivity of others. They just perform public sex acts in front of children because they are like wild animals. This is what they do.”

Again, this statement does not follow. A decision to perform a sex act in public is not an immutable trait one is born with. This is, again, a fettish fair.

“Certain Christian types are falling by the wayside as this more powerful evolutionary model becomes dominant.”

Do you have proof that Christians are “falling by the wayside” as a result of your perceived popularity of public sex acts? This is not a logical statement. Again, many people—gay, straight—would find public fettish fairs abhorrent. If this were some sort of more dominant model, or some signal of the downfall of Christianity, why don’t we see more of these fairs popping up throughout the world? No—it is isolated to one tiny corner of SF that lacks the political will to stamp it out. Get a grip.

You need a class in logic. And rhetoric; your rhetoric is not very good either.

            7. “Sean, you have a lot of hate in you.”

How do you reckon that? Because I bluntly name something horrible that is an epidemic in this society (and everywhere else, as far as I know).

Again I say, your preoccupation with what this tiny number of people are doing in a tiny corner of San Francisco is silly — and also has nothing to do with homosexuality in general.

Beside the amount of child fucking, rape, wife battering, torture and more that is done every day (by your fine heterosexuals), this is utterly insignificant, no matter how objectionable you or I may find it.

            8. There you go again. You spew that vile and hateful speech but give no examples. I did provide a photo essay of the many frolickers performing public sex acts in front of children and adults in a very large and public display and I gave this as an example of pride in their behavior. I find it unusual but I did not disparage the idea of giving blow jobs in public in front of children.
