Kobe Bryant seen on Apple’s Campus reportedly meeting with Jony Ive about upcoming products

“An Apple tipster sent in an image of Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant with his wife Vanessa today on Apple’s Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, California,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9to5Mac.

“The pair met with Jony Ive’s team according to the tipster and the scuttlebutt is that the meeting centered around upcoming products,” Weintraub reports. “Apple’s campus is clearly recognizable in the background of the photo and the couple can be seen waiting for food. We can’t verify the topic of conversation with Ive but the picture is embedded with a geotag that confirms the photo was taken with an iPhone on Apple’s campus.”

“We expect Apple to announce the Healthbook app at WWDC in June and the iWatch in the latter half of the year. On the topic of health and fitness products, Apple has been rumored to be working on partnering with Nike on future devices,” Weintraub reports. “Bryant happens to count Nike as his biggest endorsement deal on his extensive list of partnerships and Apple CEO Tim Cook is a Nike director.”

  1. Kobe has something to do with Apple’s rumored health direction. Either an app on how to avoid being pummeled JayZ style from angry wife over numerous affairs or a new app to diagnose STD’s. Either way, a pillar of the community Apple, outstanding job!

  2. I understand the need for celebrity endorsements and the like. But let’s hope for all Apple users sake that *none* of these celebrities are anywhere near the boardroom or major decision meetings. Last thing we need is “their” vision being inserted into anything Apple. Just be the endorsement figure and give advice when asked for it.

    1. Question: if it were Eminem and Peyton Manning in stead of Dre and Kobe and someone criticized Apple for bringing those guys in would you accuse them of white phobia?

    2. Yeah. You are right there. I love Dr. Dre and I support his view of how women (black women) should be treated. I researched his writing and artistic expressions which revealed a sensitivity and appreciation for the proper role of black women. All men should thank Dr. Dre for his contributions to human consciousness instead of making cheap shots at this great black artist.

  3. Cafe Macs is a cafeteria, not a restaurant. Even Steve Jobs used the line when he bought things there. There are no servers bringing food to your table.

    1. Yes, someone who isn’t an overpaid has been. And someone with some class. Apple seems to be losing some of their class. But hey, it’s all about the Benjamin’s. Even in Cupertino. That’s right fanboys.

  4. Perhaps Tim and Kobe both like strange ass. One hopes there will be written consent and a safe word. Or maybe Tim just ordered the wrong kind of beef for BoD meeting?

Whatever the result, won’t be for little blonde girls.
