“Apple Inc. won’t have to pay damages to Samsung Electronics Co. and didn’t infringe on patents for certain products, a Tokyo District Court said today,” Takashi Amano reports for Bloomberg.
“Tokyo District Court Judge Koji Hasegawa said Apple’s iPhone 4s, iPhone 4 and iPad 2 don’t infringe on data communication patents of Samsung, according to a statement from the court,” Amano reports. “‘We are disappointed by the court’s decision,’ Samsung said in an e-mailed statement earlier today. ‘Upon a thorough review of the ruling, we will determine which measures to take, including an appeal.'”
