“Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Satya Nadella is starting to reshape the team helping him lead his company,” Michael Hickins reports for The Wall Street Journal.
“The elevation to chief strategy officer of Mark Penn, a man more widely known as a political polling consultant than technology maven, could be a reflection of Mr. Nadella’s focus on customers,” Hickins reports. “Tony Bates, who was passed over for the CEO job, is leaving the company, with Eric Rudder, the head of advanced strategy, taking over his duties, Bloomberg’s Dina Bass reports. Tami Reller, the executive vice president in charge of marketing, is also leaving and being replaced by Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela.”

MacDailyNews Take: Pfft.
Political polling consultant? Jaheezus! Well, maybe now they can figure out who to target in the ads for the stuff they’re giving away.
he’s planning to give away concert tickets to the Beatles reunion this May…Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix slated for autumn.
impeachbotvinnik
That is clever and cute. Regretfully, it can’t work, as botvinnik is unimpeachable. Next best thing to perfection.
Proof positive… they are now completely Rudderless.
I like their strategy planning, I like it a lot.
Nothing like promoting the same officers onboard the MS Titanic and expecting different icebergian results.
The New Captain simply wants the deck chairs facing a certain way when they hit the iceberg.
Whats the problem?
Well, somebody has to finish the job.
Is he at all following that supposed ‘re-direction’ that Monkey-Boy sent out last year?
Get the popcorn!
Here you go my old good friend! *lots of popcorn supplied*
I brought the marshmallows! Don’t hold them too close to Microsoft or they’ll catch fire.
This guy is just a patsy/stooge character. The Ballmerites still run Microsoft and always will and aside from arson/demolition of Redmond campus there’s absolutely no way of getting rid of them.
“Pfft”
LOL, couldn’t have said it better myself.
Seriously, does it matter what deck chair the rats are in when the ship sinks?
Sorry, that was mean, I do hope Microsoft does manage to pull themselves out of their decade-long malaise, as I do believe competition is better for everyone. I just want to see the new MS compete on merits rather than trying to buy or bury the competition.
