“The man who runs the world’s most famous computer company came home like always last Christmas, flying in through the Pensacola airport,” Michael Finch II reports for AL.com. “There were some sightings at local stores, but he mostly lounged around, spending hours with his parents, in the house and neighborhood where he grew up.”
“No one will say much more about the visit than that. When it comes to Tim Cook, Robertsdale wraps him in a protective hug and keeps strangers with their curious questions at arm’s length,” Finch II reports. “But the people of Robertsdale are also very proud of the 53-year-old chief executive officer of the mighty Apple Inc., no one more so than his parents, Geraldine and Don Cook. Recently, Geraldine shared a bit of Tim’s story, as did some others from Robertsdale.”
“It was in 1971 when Geraldine and Don Cook found good cause to settle down with their three sons in Robertsdale, a place of 2,300 residents and endless miles of the rich, green farmland that was always Baldwin County’s pride,” Finch II reports. “They chose Robertsdale because they wanted their growing boys to be able to go to the same school. That hadn’t been possible in Pensacola, or in Mobile, where they’d lived for short spells.”

Nice wig!
You wish. The ’70s were more than strange.
Maybe now he can ‘return’ Apple stock to no longer being a piece of shit investment.
Blame Wallstreeters, not Tim. The stock bounced around when Steve was in charge, too.
Robertsdale, been there.
I have a friend in Robertsdale who knew him in HS. We had talks about TC when TC was moved up to number 2, under SJ.
Hey, Tim looked good in 1978 didn’t he? 😀
Apple grew Craig Federighi from a cutting.
Nothing as nice as be young, make the most of it while you are young. Even at this age, it shows that Cook is taking care of himself, he is very fit.
It’s hard to appreciate being young where you’re broke, naive, uneducated and inexperienced.
And practice poor grammar too.
That wasn’t poor grammar. That was a failure to change the improper word selection of my iPhone auto-correct.
Dude’s ‘fro was bigger than mine back then! It’s not right! It’s not right!
“snort”
Tim rocks that fro! We need a comparison shot of yours.
Why the hyperbole? He didn’t ‘find” time. He made time, blocked it out on his schedule and went home. The end.
Voted “most likely to have multiple wedgies before graduation.”
Ask the guy who gave him the wedgies to step out from behind his MacDonald’s counter for a moment to give his opinion.
Exactly. Who has the last laugh now?
