Former CEO of Yves Saint Laurent is now Apple’s VP of special projects. Think wearable devices. Apple also hired Ravi Narasimhan from a health sensor company, and Nancy Dougherty a highly touted engineer whose products include health monitoring equipment. Think medical devices.”

Everybody is talking about it, even explaining to Tim how to explain how he’s not lying. I don’t think he’s been lying. I think he just doesn’t have any idea about how to run the company. Even if Apple introduces the things speculated in this article, it still won’t be something that just about all of Apple’s competitors haven’t already done. Could be that the once famous brand will make it seem magical but it won’t be. It’ll just be another time when, under the leadership of the hapless CEO, customer’s just shrugged and investors didn’t even notice.
That’s the mindset we’ll count on when we buy stock right after the announcement and it has tanked. Then when you’re shining our shoes in 10 years we can all agree as we hand you a 50 cent tip that yes, you were probably wrong about all that.
For your hatred to Tim Cook, why don’t you just startup your own company and hiring all of Apple’s engineers, then Apple would be crippled. No new invention, no new products, Apple doomed.
Things have changed how? Most things existed before Apple took hold of them and made them must haves and the response to those products was little different to your own. It was just the same under SJ he simply was able to give these products a buzz and ridiculed opinions such as yours. No one could have really replaced that in the short term, if ever.

Cook said as early as last May/June that we would see some amazing new products at the end of 2013 and throughout 2014.
At the end of 2013 we got the new Mac Pro, which alone proves him right, plus all the awesomeness of the new iPads, new iPhones, etc., which were evolutionary, but in some ways could be stretched to also fit.
Now it’s 2014, barely 1/12 into the year. So everyone chill out.
Cook’s not making stuff up to temporarily settle analysts. It’s not like he’s going to hold a press conference this December and say, “Oops, we didn’t come up with anything new this year and didn’t break into any product categories, but maybe next year.”
No. It’s going to be a big year. Like he said. With brand new products. Like he said. And at least one new product category, possibly more. Like he said.

At the end of 2013 we got the Mac Pro and the iPhone 5c (the first time apple has ever sold two brand new iPhones at the same time).
Now lets see what 2014 brings. I am totally on board with people debating Tim’s performance after 2014 but not before or during.
Exactly – and remember the same folks who want Cook to quit are the ones who said that the iPad was not new – just a copy of something MS did long ago, or that the iPhone would never catch on because you gotta have those buttons. People are also forgetting that the iPhone and iPad that were released in 2013 are 64 bit, and that iOS is now also 64 bit. Desktop class hardware in your hand! How long will it take others to catch up to that?

I can feel the sadness that tim cook said it every year that the new amazing products are coming in 2013 fall and throughout 2014.
I am so disappointed ! When tim was asked about the new product , he said “Didn’t say you would see them in 2013 and 2014, but you will see exciting new products from us in the fall and across 2014. I stand by that and you’ve seen a lot of things over the last couple of months. In terms of new product categories specifically, if you look at the skills that Apple has from hardware/software and services, and the incredible app ecosystem, this set of things is very unique. No one has a set of skills like this. We obviously believe that we can use our skills at building other great products that are in categories that represent areas that we do not participate today. We’re pretty confident about that.”
All of the above is to bring u walk around the garden for nothing.
Apple is no doubt the best technology company in the planet, but it is too big to grow , being able to grow is the market rule.
So I said to sell my AAPL till TIM COOK really brings out new products that are profitable, not just talk talk and talk.
