“Tired of cracking your phone screen? Liquipel, the company that wowed us two years ago with its nano-coating waterproof technology, has an impressive solution called Skins,” Cherlynn Low reports for LAPTOP. “Skins are shock-absorbing screen protectors for your phone that make it virtually shatterproof while retaining the clarity of your display.”

Wondering why the waterproofing technology was not adopted by all cellphone makers? Is there a problem with this technology that we are unaware of?
I believe that the waterproofing technology wears off after a week or so.
Besides, this really looks like hoax, because screens mostly get shattered not by being hit by polished heavy metal balls in the middle of the glass, but by sharp hard objects and/or to the edge of the phone.
No the tech works great. Have it on my Jaybird Buds and I ran them through the washer (accidentally) everything still works fine.
I don’t know… my iPhone earbuds went through the wash, and while it messed up the way the cable hangs, the audio quality hasn’t been affected at all.
I doubt they come with any waterproof coating.
I’d be more impressed if the “tube” was open ended, or the ball bearing was dropped, or tossed, freely onto the screen.

What market segment does that describe? There are people who crack their screens so often, they can get tired of it!?
Anyone cover their device in plasti dip?
