AFP reports, “The White House says the president’s personal email address was strictly limited to a small list of senior officials and personal friends, but will not detail the encryption devices that are used to secure his communications.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if the NSA is intercepting all of Obama’s Blackberry email.
I think that POTUS wan’t his e-mails in Canada where they are not obligated to violate the United States’ Fourth Amendment anytime the NSA wants the e-mail data. He could just use an iPhone with an e-mail server in Russia, Iran, … and keep his e-mail safe from our Federal Government’s illegal “unreasonable searches and seizures” of our personal documents, “papers, and effects”. Someone in the IT department should explain this to him after they are done fixing that broken half written Obamacare web site that was not ready in October when it went on line.
Also, it POTUS buys his campaign buses from Canada and his Obamacare web site programers are from Canada, … Why would he not also buy his smart phones from Canada too!
The only thing POTUS will not buy from Canada by way of a pipeline is Canadian oil.

Now of course Canadian oil producers would love for US taxpayers to subsidize yet one more outlet. But aside from short-term construction jobs from your big bad government, can you tell us what long-term economic benefit that would be gained? What’s the ROI for US taxpayers? What if, as this article promotes, the Canadian government promotes national energy sufficiency by refining locally instead of continuing to export its oil?
Do you forget that Canada is also building a pipeline due west to export its oil to China, which would likely make any new extra flow capacity to the Gulf of MX unused?

9. Permanently stop all job-killing tax hikes
10. Give small businesses a tax deduction
11. Repeal job-killing small business mandates
12. Pass clean troop funding bills
13. Fully fund missile defense
14. Require tough enforcement of sanctions against Iran
15. Establish operational control of the border
16. Work with state and local officials to enforce U.S. immigration laws

If you think Romney wouldn’t have been worse, it is only because Romney is more skilled at hiding his misdeeds. Most of those people don’t want kids, the pregnancy is an accident, and the kid suffers more being born and forced to live with these non-parenting losers (often druggies, and/or jobless) supported by the rest of us, than never being born at all.
I think there are very few people who are pro-abortion. What I am for is individuals making their own choices. That might sound Republican, but it isn’t . On this issue Republicans will suffer any size of Government, even one that keeps track of everyones sex life and spend any amount of money to do it. At the same time, they would send the progeny of their oversight to poor schools, hungry and homeless. Go figure.
If you check the stats, Planned Parenthood spends a very small portion of their funds on abortion services, and does not use public funding for them. They do provide birth control services and women’s health care to the poor for free or a very low cost, such as mammograms and pap smears. It’s a lot less expensive to do cancer screening and treat it early than to wait until the later stages and spend a lot of money fighting a losing battle. That sounds like an approach the fiscally conservative Republicans could get behind. Once again, go figure.
Bottom line, Republicans can’t sell their ideas to the mainstream, so they need the religious conservative and far right angry idiots to pitch in to get them elected. Their biggest threat is a thinking electorate.

MDN’s roots have been in taking the greater mass media to task, ever since its inception. While initially this was confined to the lies, misrepresentations, and poor judgements of the computer press with regard to Apple and her products, it became clear that those who appreciated MDN f appreciated MDN pointing out the same sorts of behavior in the even broader political press, when there was some overlap with Apple or technology news.
You might find Huffington Post or the NY Times to your liking where the technology news is more often than not anti-Apple and extremely PRO-OBAMA. Weird how that seems to go together.
Fair enough. I believe MDN does a great job at squashing misinformation in the mass media. My point was simply that when the discussion becomes purely political and has nothing to do with Apple, it starts to seem a bit like the way Fox chooses what’s “important to cover.” I guess if they have no problem with dividing their reader base for the sake of pushing their political agenda, that’s fine.

I think your headline reflects an unfortunate bias: President Obama is not “stuck” with his BlackBerry. He wants it!!! Probably for it’s security and it’s tactile keypad. When he assumed office fought to keep it. That he does not have an iPhone is likely that he does not want one but also because he can’t have one for security reasons.
