Jury selected in Apple v. Samsung damages retrial

“A jury was selected on Tuesday for a retrial between Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, with hundreds of millions of dollars at stake between the two mobile giants,” Dan Levine reports for Reuters.

“Opening statements are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, and the trial is expected to last about a week,” Levine reports. “In a San Jose, California federal court on Tuesday, dozens of potential jurors were quizzed by Koh and attorneys for both sides.”

Levine reports, “By the end of the day, six women and two men were selected to hear the evidence.”

  1. The SN Jose Mercury describes the 8 person jury as highly educated. It says all have Samsung and Apple products. Interesting that one has no cellphones in the family. The article says this jury makeup is similar to the original trial. Of course Samsung had hoped to have the trial in heehaw country, surely not in the center of Silicon Valley. Advantage Apple.
