“Apple has apparently decided to equip its smartwatch with a flexible display, industry sources said,” The Chosun Ilbo reports. “They said the rumored ‘iWatch’ will be equipped with a plastic OLED monitor that can be bent.”
“Apple is said to be developing three different models of the iWatch — a 1.3-inch, 1.4-inch and 1.5-inch prototype,” The Chosun Ilbo reports. “‘A prototype of the 1.5-inch has already been made,’ the source said.”

The iWatch was just bait to get Samsung to release their clunker of a “stupid” watch. I’d say the iWatch has been a smash hit for Apple. Now time to retire this rumor.
I think they will produce one but not till they are ready, which may be a while off judging by the limited nature of the opposition at present which suggests that technology is still struggling with the concept
If Apple will produce iWatch, its screen is not going to be flexible — not feasible for many years. The screen could be bent, but not flexible.
It was very clever by Apple.
The whole point was to exposed Samsung as the crap company they are – and it worked.
The watch they came out with was totally shameful – poor design, interface and all else.
If Apple had released their watched first you can guarantee that samsung would not have made their current watch – it would have looked exactly like the apple watch.
Samsung is a company with no ideas of their own. All they do photocopy, and photocopy very poorly at that.
And of course they don’t give a damn about patents, trademarks or the international courts. They are a creditless and integrityless company.
With this culture, imagine what their attitude towards their customers is.
I will never buy any Korean products. I just don’t believe they’re good enough.
Now old Samsung is going to release a watch with it A 3 inch screen.
Samsung and flava flav should get together and make a giant samwatch you wear on a chain around your neck.
They will start with the 1.3″. In a couple of years, the new iWatch 5 will have the 1.4″. And BLW will be griping about how Apple would have so many more sales if only they produced the 1.5″
Would it available for purchase by Christmas?.
Two items I wanted under my Christmas tree is a mini iPad retina and iWatch.
I don’t think so. Apple opened up the Spring time slot (which was previously for iPad) to give a completely new product the full spotlight. I think it will be around March 2014, if it happens.
Apple is going with simple and useful for iWatch. My feeling is that Apple is working very closely with Nike (Apple and Nike already worked closely on recent announcements related to the M7 chip), and iWatch will resemble Nike’s existing Fuel Band

It will have an actual display (not a bunch of LED dots), and obviously do more than only fitness-related tasks. But the whole “watch” will look more like a thin light bracket.
A narrow display that is about 1.5-inch diagonal, curved and flexible, makes perfect sense.
Apple already demoed the iWatch back in 1988. Did you ever notice the ‘watch’ that the teacher was wearing in the ‘Future Shock’ video?
It was also used for gesture control of the Mac.
Quick Samsung, make some more Samsung StupidTwisty Watch. Not just flexible screen but you can twist it so that its like a double helix looking thingy. Cool.
And make it gold! And make a stylus to go with it.

Hurry it up, time is a wasting. My Tag Heuer Carrera is do for service in 2014. At over three bills for the service, the iWatch might be a cheaper option.
I think Samsung will be first to market with a tablet watch. At first they’ll start with a 4″ and quickly move up to 7″, 9″ and 12″ models. Apple will never make a watch that big, which will leave the market wide open for Samsung to own. Samsung will kill Apple in tablet watch sales. Apple is doomed!
Another reason for the leaked rumor was to see how much like their own developed internal documents the Samsung watch would be.
1. Samsung puts out crap.
2. If Samsung crap looks like Apple documents, Apple knows the extent of internal leaks and where to plug them.
I doubt Apple is working in anything as insignificant as a watch.

Yes, we know, postulated previously. This is precisely why we don’t yet have an iWatch and why Apple will not be perpetrating a brick-on-a-wrist POS StupidWatch like ScamScum. Apple is waiting until the technology is available to fit exactly what they want to make and sell. Nothing less is allowed. Nothing better will be available. Strike when the technology can be manufactured in mass quantities. Don’t count your transistors before they’re primed. A stitch in time saves your company from selling not-ready-for-prime-time crap. And so on.
This iWatch bs is getting tiring!
I’m starting a rumor that the ‘iWatch’ isn’t a watch at all. It’s a web cam security service for the home. I am as well qualified as any ‘analyst,’ ‘pundit,’ or stock speculator to make these prognostications; meaning I have no qualifications what-so-ever. Therefore my rumor is as reliable as anyone else’s. 🙂
What’s the big obsession with some kind of “iWatch”, iPhone nano, or similar product? Just because it can be done, doesn’t mean it should/will be done. Apple makes great products for people — provided it provides a good user experience. Smaller does not mean better.
