To be fair, Apple’s “Gold” is not actually of golden colour; it is more subtle hue, not tacky at all — according to those who have seen the phone personally.

I all ready have 5 people (all women) but they want the gold iPhone. One lady’s text was… I WANT IT NOW. I HAVE TO HAVE IT. And so on. I swear I will learn my lesson and stop doubting Apple on even the minor things someday.
My mother was talking about getting the gold phone, too. You may be on to Apple’s genius.
