Apple’s next-gen iPad will be as thin as iPad mini (with video)

“A YouTube user [Lou from UnboxTherapy] has post a new video online comparing the rear shells of the iPad 5 with the next-gen iPad mini [provided by Sonny Dickson],” John Brownlee reports for Cult of Mac.

“The iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 have the exact same shell, except for the fact that the iPad 5 is larger,” Brownlee reports. “In fact, both shells are exactly the same thickness.”

“Considering the fact that the iPad gained a considerable amount of bulk when it went Retina, the thinness of the shells to both the iPad 5 and (presumably) Retina iPad mini 2 are extraordinary,” Brownlee writes. “How has Apple managed to pack enough battery into both of these tablets? Did they finally master IGZO?”

  1. The more we see of these leaked Apple products (gee thanks China) the more we see the wisdom of Apple’s attempts to keep entirely silent about upcoming products. You just know I’m itching to plaster a rant here about China’s deceitful culture. But if Apple hasn’t gotten the clue yet, why bother. 😛

  2. That Samsung SD adaptor he showed in the last seconds, really pissed me off. WTH!

    Same to YOU buddy!
