Apple granted 36 patents covering advanced in-car telematics, Multi-Touch, laser processing and much more

“The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 36 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today,” Jack Purcher reports for Patently Apple.

“Apple’s key patent of the day covers in-vehicle instrumentation and telematics which directly supports Apple’s iOS in the Car project coming to market in the second half of 2014,” Purcher reports. “Other patents cover advanced touch technologies, laser processing of display components and design patents which include Apple’s Smart Case and more.”

Purcher reports, “Apple has [also] been granted a patent today for their invention that generally relates to techniques for detecting unwanted water intrusion in Apple iDevices.”
