“In a report to investors, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has in the past proved reliable in predicting Apple’s product plans, says he expects minor changes to the MacBook Pro with Retina display and MacBook Air product lines will be a hardware highlight of WWDC 2013,” AppleInsider reports.
“The analyst notes Apple’s 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will sport a thinner chassis,” AppleInsider reports. ” In addition, the Pro models are expected to sport an improved FaceTime HD camera, which could move from a current resolution of 720p to 1080p, or ‘Full HD.’ Apple’s new Retina MacBook Pro models are expected to feature Intel’s latest-generation Haswell processors, which offer more horsepower with lower power consumption, leading to longer battery life.”
AppleInsider reports, “WWDC 2013 is scheduled to run from June 10 through 14 in San Francisco.”

Let’s start the countdown to someone whining about Apple making a thinner MacBook Pro so soon after just releasing it.
If the prediction turns out to be true, it won’t be whining but wining and dining for the share holders! 🙂
So they can be disappointed and whine that Apple is doomed when it doesn’t happen?
Insert joke about waiting for powerbook G5 here.
To many people think the world operates like a special olympics event where everyone gets hugs and medals no matter what you do.
If you follow these snake oils analyst’s then you deserve your just reward…let the buyer beware!!!
“Snake oil analysts”! Excellent term. 😀
Apple may unify it’s product line. Just MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros. All retina, all sans optical drive.
Change “Analyst” to “Rumor Monger”
To be fair to those intrepid individuals who frequent this third of MDN pages, feel free to continue your commenting ONLY IF you have been a reliable predictor of Apple’s product plans.
And in case sarcasm is not your native tongue, go with this reworded criteria: have you ever NOT anticipated lighter smaller thinner faster?
thinererer eh? How ’bout they make it less susceptible to cannibalism by next month’s model
How about Apple stops removing hardware features and telling us it is an upgrade? I couldn’t care less about thinner. They were adequately thin several models ago. Now they are very expensive, non-upgradable and therefore, effectively disposable computers.
Will you ever find a being more stupid than an analyst?
The form factor of the Retina MacBookPro is close to perfect for the moment and only massive innovation in battery technology which will splitt the needed volume into half, would Apple motivate to create a new casing.
Until then the little benefits of more power saving CPUs would be invested in longer battery runtimes.
What do you mean full HD? 720 is not HD. It’s either HD or not. There is no full HD its just HD.
