Apple engineers tell how company guards its secrets

“A group of purported Apple engineers has lifted the veil on the company to reveal what makes it one of the most famously secretive enterprises in the United States,” The Daily Mail reports.

“Employees are told not to even speak to their wives about the projects they are working on. Black cloth shrouds cover new products when designers aren’t working on them,” The Daily mail reports. “Corporate security teams are looking over each engineer’s shoulder at every turn, and a unique system called – what else – ‘iTrack’ is used to monitor every prototype device. ”

The Daily mail reports, “Current employees, though, reported that it was love of the products that kept employees from blabbing about the newest gadgets that Apple is releasing. Many said they believe Apple fans genuinely want to be surprised by new products.”

  1. There’s a room in Apple’s dungeons where legs and arms go to be broken due to unintended leaks. They string the leaker up on the ceiling by leg irons and thrust red hot pokers that have been heated in brick lined fire pits fanned by bellows in his/her groin to make him/her confess to his/her crimes. It’s gender neutral.

  2. Apple does not want the other companies steal their ideas that’s why it wants to keep secret as long as they can before the products release to the market. Remember this is brutal competition in smartphone or technology in general.

  3. Corporate security teams are looking over each engineer’s shoulder at every turn

    Bullshit.

a unique system called – what else – ‘iTrack’

There’s nothing unique about iTrack, it’s just an inventory program. If you’re working with proto hardware, you sign it out.

  4. The article was totally inaccurate. The black shrouds are placed over the heads of the engineers with eye cutouts. There is nothing left to see and everything left to imagine. Otherwise, what would the analysts and researchers speak about?

  5. “Employees are told not to even speak to their wives about the projects they are working on”

If you think it’s ok to tell your wife about everything, you have to be told not to talk/tell some things to your wife, specially in those cultures that actually do.
