“Last week Apple informed the court that it intended to amend its infringement contentions in the second California patent litigation with Samsung to target the Galaxy S4 (instead of some other product to be dropped from the list of accused devices),” Florian Müller reports for FOSS Patents. “Apple has now filed the motion it announced, and it specifies five patents allegedly infringed by the S4 as well as two patents allegedly infringed by the Google Now search app.”
The related footnote alleges infringement by the S4 of the following five patents-in-suit:
• Two “Siri” patents on unified search: U.S. Patent No. 8,086,604 and U.S. Patent No. 6,847,959 on a “universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system”
• U.S. Patent No. 5,666,502 on a “graphical user interface using historical lists with field classes”
• U.S. Patent No. 5,946,647 on a “system and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated data” (“data-tapping”)
• U.S. Patent No. 7,761,414 on “asynchronous data synchronization amongst devices”
“Apple’s motion does not mention the Galaxy S4 Google Edition, which Google announced at last week’s Google I/O developer conference,” Müller reports. “Apple based its motion on units of the S4 that it purchased in local stores immediately after the product became available. It will presumably also purchase the Google Edition and analyze it at the earliest opportunity.”

So if the google now search app infringes on patents , why the hell did they approve the latest update for the google app for iOS??!
The Google Apps for iOS must use iOS protocols that follow Apple’s patents.
They don’t have to steal because they get to use Apple patents for free when they make iOS Apps.
What a waste of time. If this case doesnt get thrown out before its started then the only people that will suffer will be apple.

the method in which a person performs an action on a structure that creates a result. So washing the cloths and placing them on a stucture, (cloths line) then putting them on so the result is a smart dressed person. My god, no wonder No one bothers to follow apples sulking. Sooner Apple are dead and buried the better the consumer will be.
If you had a functioning brain and had a patentable idea, I would wish that someone would steal your intellectual property.

Court system is too slow. When this trail comes around the S6 and S7 will be out and those has to be added to the list and older dropped.
apple is never going to get their way with these patent trials. time to give up and start innovating again its been a long long time since ive said “wow” about a new apple product or ios update
