“Apple on Thursday issued a new software update for iPhone 5 owners, adding an updated audio profile for speakerphone,” AppleInsider reports.
” It is available for both the GSM and CDMA versions of the iPhone 5,” AppleInsider reports. “No other major updates for iOS are expected to be released, as Apple is believed to be hard at work on the next major update to its mobile operating system. iOS 7 is expected to be unveiled at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, scheduled for June 10 through 14.”

I think I’ll wait for a few days.
But is it snappier?
So what does “adding an updated audio profile for speakerphone” mean? Other than making it snappier.
Hey, this is no big deal….. Android phones get updates all the time, right???

I would appreciate knowing this too.Wish someone would answer your question.
Doin’ it now.
DON’T DO IT! Just wiped out all of my email accounts, went in to settings to try to get them back, iPhone locked up. They f’ed something up!
Had to delete and reinstall Corporate Exchange account followed by hard reset – 3 times – but finally got it back. I was one POed iPhone owner there for about 15 minutes!
Did you shit your pants?
I did, but it was unrelated to the iPhone update. I just couldn’t make it to the toilet on time.
My mail accounts are fine–No problems updating at all. Actually it went pretty quickly too
None of these things go ‘quickly’. Took about ten-fifteen minutes. I almost missed the first minutes of Person of Interest….
and that was a good episode too. Of course there is no relation to the virus in the machine vs. update to the iPhone la machina.
Works fine here even emails and accounts are ok. Did wireless and unplugged from power at 96% charge on phone.
So when is MDN going to release an iPhone 5 update for its antiquated App?
That’s funny you said that… I’ve posted the same question multiple times and somehow, it always gets deleted. I guess MDN doesn’t like constructive critisism.
Been waiting for an update to MDN’s app too, for a long long time. I’m getting tired of not being able to zoom, and the nearly useless font button only increases the microscopic font size by 1 point. C’mon MDN, hire a developer.
Sorry, but 6.anything is a FAIL due to extreme suction of Apple Maps. And, no, Google Maps app is not a “replacement” because, in their infinite wisdom, Apple has denied developers access to a users contacts thus making impossible for Google maps app to be as useful as old Apple maps. Bottom line: They will have to pry my iOS 5.1.1 from my cold dead hands.
