Soluto’s sample for constructing this report included 224,144 crashes and 84,251 blue-screens over a course of 3 months.
“The MacBook Pro is the most expensive PC among the top 3, but if you’re looking for top reliability – the data is clear,” Soluto reports. “MacBook Pro is the best Windows PC on the market.”
“There are definite disadvantages to using Windows on Mac. First – there’s more work to do (buy windows, set-up BootCamp, install Windows, etc). Also, the keyboard is not optimized for Windows (e.g. no Del key), and there may be driver issues,” Soluto reports. “But on the other hand, the Mac has an amazing trackpad unparalleled by any PC, and has a very solid build.”
“And some people think Mac users look smarter,” Soluto reports. “So if you’ve ever looked for an excuse to buy a MacBook – now you have it.”

MacDailyNews Take: Wholly unsurprising, but funny nonetheless. Macs even run crapware the best.
And, not only do Mac users look smarter, they are smarter.

This isn’t the first time that the Apple Macbook was the fastest Windows PC laptop. Again, funny and sad!
How many processors can Windows use now on a Mac? Used to top out at only two processors regardless if you had more.
Not a list you really want to show to a Windows fan. Any Windows enthusiast will simply note you can buy 4 Acers for the price of one MacBook – another sad but true fact. This list also clearly shows why Apple has the highest profit margins of any company.
When someone says “I can buy 3 or 4 windowz laptops for the price of a Macbook” just look them in the eye and say, “Buy junk, get junk…” 😉
just say that: based upon value received, the 4 windows laptops are each too expensive compared to one Macbook Air
And it would be true
And since the four Acers still only run so fast but you get 4x the crashes, you came out ahead exactly how?
And I would say, “why do you need 4 laptops?”
Just ask that Windows enthusiast if he/she can get 3 times the work done with those 3 Acers?
Windows is shit. In my job at a large investment bank I have to use Windows, by choice at home I use OS X.
It’s a pile of steaming shit layered upon another like of steaming shit, ad infinitum.
True. I suffer every day. And I mean SUFFER with Winblows at work.
I miss those ads.
And as for the Mac keyboard not having a [forward] Del key, just hold down the Fn key while pressing Delete. Voila, forward delete. (assuming that works in Windows, too)
“The data is clear.” They is?
Yep! We replaced a dozen desktop computers with iMac’s that boot to Windows (for various reasons), and our IT costs have since dropped dramatically. A Mac is indeed te BEST Windows computer you can buy.
I know this is not a major issue, but this irritates me: “the data is clear.” The data ARE clear.
You and Matt need to hang out.
Ummm I beg to differ. In fact you are both right as both the singular and plural usage are accepted Data can be considered as a singular group so that group IS clear.
What Buster said.
Similarly, in Britain, corporations are considered plural when matching a verb, while in the USA corporations use the singular form: “Apple is planning to….”
If you are going to pick nits in English, you should really avoid doing so with reasonable evolutions that have become accepted.
The above discussions about how many PCs can be bought for the price of a Mac leave out the critically important measurement of likely mean time before failure. We had the top of the line Dell laptop (for a price over $3,100) Main processor melted down at 6 months. Cooling systems failed. Over the three years of service warranty, the machine failed repeatedly, and often in new and interesting ways. I got to know the repair person on a first name basis. I recommend the macs. Period. I have the retina display 15″ MacBookPro. Mine is bigger than yours, better than yours, and faster than yours.
Good heavens that’s not even the retina model. It is the older one with the optical drive.
You should never say never. But here goes. I will never run Windoze on a Mac.
Look who is in at number 6.
