Apple wins another one as U.S. ITC judge rules Google Motorola Mobility phone patent invalid

“Google’s Motorola Mobility unit cannot assert a patent against Apple Inc which covers a sensor that stops phone users from dialing wrong numbers on touchscreen devices, a U.S. trade judge ruled,” Dan Levine reports for Reuters.

“In an entry on the U.S. International Trade Commission docket on Tuesday, Administrative Law Judge Thomas Pender ruled the Motorola patent invalid,” Levine reports. “Google acquired Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion this year, partly for its library of telecommunications patents.”

  1. It’s all based on perception. Seems many folks don’t want Apple to be succeeding and thus may spread negative influences.

    i.e.,
    google
    samsung
    motorola
    microsoft
    amazon
    so-called analysts
    wall street
    etc.

Thusly am I inspired to post here my top 10 predictions for 2013. Take ye heed:

    1) 2013 exists. The world didn’t end December 21, 2012.

    2) Some other ‘end of the world’ will happen in 2013 as compensation. Another ‘end of the world’, another end of the world party!

    3) AAPL will fly to new heights and ‘Apple bears’ will either fear for their jobs or lose them. Crowds will cheer.

    4) Google’s mask will fall, revealing ugliness beneath. The price of GOOG will respond accordingly. Crowds will cheer.

    5) Zsa Zsa Gabor will implode into a withering pile of dust and finally die. If you don’t know who she is, was, be grateful, dahling.

    6) Microsoft will have a stockholder’s revolt. Sadly, the demise of Ballmer’s rule as Chief Monkey at Microsoft will begin apace. Poke him with a stick while you can. Beware of flying chairs.

    7) Surprise, Motorola Mobility will suffer under the claw of Google such that all of its worthy technology that is not-of-interest to Google will suffer and rot. Many will mourn.

    8) Kodak shall spread itself upon the wind and disintegrate to mere aether.

    9) The iPad will grow in size to become the long rumored ‘iTV’. We will want one in every room of the house, especially the bathroom and kitchen.

    10) Android malware will enumerate by a factor over 10x. Run away and hide. Woe unto thee Android settlers. 😉
