“The Steven P. Jobs Trust [managed by his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs] is the largest Disney shareholder – owning about 7.7% of the stock,” Alex Knapp reports for Forbes. “Now, as we learned earlier this week, Disney is buying Lucasfilm.”
Knapp reports, “Lucasfilm owns the trademark over the word ‘Droid’ because of the Star Wars films… the name is being used under license… [and] Steve Jobs‘ trust now gets a little bit richer – when people buy an Android Smartphone made by Motorola.”

Unfortunately, Apple should be getting much more out of the iPhone knockoffs than they currently are – hopefully, someday, finally, the courts will the thieves and rectify this gross and painfully obvious injustice.

Motorola could save those licencing fees by simply renaming their product line. They could use “Avoid” instead of “Droid.”

Steve Jobs once again proves that he is a freaking genius. Bought start up Pixar from Lucas while also starting up NeXT Computers after Apple. With Lassider built Pixar into a powerhouse rivaling Disney, merges with Disney, becomes the largest Disney stock holding Board Member while also returning to Apple to be CEO & selling NeXT OS to morph into Mac OSX. Now that Lucas has sold Lucasfilms with Star Wars to Disney, Steve Jobs once again benefits from Disney + Lucas again with Lucasfilms & previously Pixar with the piece of resistance that Google pays royalties for the Star Wars trademarked term “Droid” every time a Google Android smartphone is sold which lines Steve Jobs Trust coffers…

Justice would be if Lauren or the Trust cancelled the license for “Droid”
