“While no official iPhone 5 announcement has been made, MacRumors has confirmed that Apple does indeed have Virgin-specific CDMA iPhone 5 units lined up and ready to go,” Eric Slivka reports for MacRumors.

You’re absolutely correct, and frankly, I’m flattered that someone actually bothers reading my pontificating posts…
Since the introduction of the iPhone on VM, it has been probably the best deal in America.
The only fly in the ointment for me is that I am grandfathered on the old $25 per month plan (300 voice mins, unlimited text and data). The price of this plan went up a year ago, but I could still keep it, even if I upgraded my phone. Until this May, that is. The iPhone became available on Virgin some time this summer. For the iPhone, and all other phones introduced after May, my grandfathered plan would have to go (up to $35 per month for the same plan). This is still a good deal, especially since Sprint’s “4G” network is available to Virgin’s customers.
I may wait for the Black Friday (or Cyber Monday), when Virgin usually does some deep discounts. Obviously, they won’t be available for the iPhone, but they’ll likely throw in an extra free month of service with it…

To my knowledge T-Mobile does not offer any version of the iPhone let alone the iPhone 5. Therefore it is inaccurate to say that they have “introduced” the iPhone 5.
T-Mobile will support the iPhone 4, 4S and 5, but they only do so if you buy the phone elsewhere, get it unlocked and then come to T-Mobile where they will stick a T-Mobile sim into it so it can be activated to use T-Mobile’s network.
I guess you can think of this as a “bring your own device” for cellular networks!
T-Mobile was not mentioned, nor referred to in the message. It was not among the sixteen official iPhone carriers in the US.
The essence of the message was: there are currently sixteen carriers in America that offer iPhone. Only two of them are still selling iPhone 4 and 4S, and don’t yet offer iPhone 5. All others have already started offering iPhone 5.
T-Mobile never offered an iPhone, nor does its network support iPhone’s 3G network frequencies. The situation may be better in some of T-Mobile’s markets, where, as a consequence of the failed AT&T take-over, they got some extra spectrum on frequencies that iPhone 5’s LTE radio will support, providing those “4G” speeds for contract-free iPhone owners on T-Mobile. Coverage is still fairly modest, confined to some metropolitan areas on the East coast.
