Convicted patent infringer Samsung’s latest television ad mocks Apple customers who are in queues for iPhone 5.
In keeping with their corporate tradition, Samsung constructs fake Apple stores and populates them with fake customers in order to tout their fake iPhone while simultaneously guaranteeing that hundreds of millions of customers worldwide will never purchase a Samsung product in their lifetimes, certainly not a Fisher Price-sized, slow, plastic, Galaxy S III.
Very effective advertising, Samsung… for Apple:
MacDailyNews Take: Samsung’s fear is palpable.
And this ad, like the Super Bowl ad before it, are aimed at keeping the Samsung sheep in the pen, not getting iPhone users to downgrade.

“You can watch a video while sending an email.” – WTH kind of selling point is that!?
Physiologically speaking, wouldn’t you need to be Borg to watch a video while sending email at the same time? I mean, this is not a human function on a phone. The limitation is not the device but the user.
Apple realizes this and instead of confusing people, understands that maybe you can’t to do it that way, effectively saving engineering time and code to do something else better.
And maybe you can even eat a dog while doing it? yeah.. Samdung just does not GET it….
it doesn’t even work with YouTube
Pathetic desperation.
Even #2 Avis doesn’t mention #1 Hertz.
Chuklz,
So right. Point here, while we fuss about this Samdung ad,,,, Has anyone noticed how all the news reviews are about the iPhone 5 and not about the latest Samsung…. er…. 11 or 111 …. what ever code is the latest…???????
Over and over, sites are gushing over the iPhone 5. Samsung… ???? yea they make a phone …. or tablet… or both..ish too, right???
In this age of high tech,
Slamdung feels physical touching of cellular phones
is an innovative way to transfer
play lists – what a joke!!!
jesus christ… where’s the limit for these retards?
the next big thing is inside my underwear… in multi touch use it gets bigger. assholes.
HAHA!
Beer snort through nose! Hilarious.
Put that thing in your ass. 😉
Good job Samsung, fuck these iphone fans. 😉
When is MDN going to ban this know-nothing jackass?
hahaha
Are you afraid of Samsung fans?
Pathetic…
LOL
Are you using iphone maps app???
😉
Afraid? No, but I have a limited amount of time per day to read comments on MDN. Your comments are a waste of my time. To paraphrase a Jack Nicholson character, “Sell stupid someplace else, we’re all stocked up here.”
What does it say when I feel infinitely more enriched by reading your griping about a troll here than anything said by the troll?
Ha
I put in you gupta ass as soon as get from you momma ass. You see wook on she face when phone ring ring? You should call you gupta momma. She wikes vibrate ring.
Samsung should be mentioning the great product, integration features, performance, warranty and such.
Like when does Apple make an ad that mentions its competitors, even the bad ones?
Samsung is actually advertising for Apple in its own way.
Sounds like SamDung is green with envy to me!
Uhh, “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC”? Remember those commercials?
@Rick: There’s no brand mentioned. Not even MS.
Hey Josh, M$ was brought out. Including XP, 7ista and M$ Office.
The point of the “Never mention competitor” rule is when you are fending off competition. Not when you are David nibbling at Goliath.
Mentioning competition legitimises it. When you’re little (Mac was 3% at the time), making yourself a valid equal of someone 30 times your size is actually rather smart, especially if it is effective (as “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” series was). When you are more-or-less equal, or even on top, acknowledging competition gives competition the equality, which you don’t want to give.
“I sent him a playlist!”
What if he doesn’t have the songs on his phone?
This is like Ping all over again. I don’t want people to know what’s on my play list. That’s what makes it mine.
Ping. Worse than MobileMe.
Come on, DustyMac – Remember?! They’re Fandroids! – They have phones packed with stolen music files from their favourite bit-torrent sites, and free apps that may or may not work on the version of Android their phones are running.
And they have viruses, and other malware. And they have incompatible file types and corrupted files. And they have bloatware installed by their carriers. And they can’t really use all the ‘features’ on their phones properly …
“But, but … .. hey, at least it’s not an Apple product! Right?!!”
+2 🙂
Hey – “I sent him a playlist” and a virus.
The old Samsung bump-squirt…
If he doesn’t have the songs in the playlist, he could just send them via wifi or bluetooth…
Samsung’s advertising the iPhone 5 on TV more than Apple.
Pathetic
Lame
Weird
Bad losers 🙂
You are right, iphone fans are bad losers. 😉
Pathetic +
Samsung’s fear and tea party antics will sink them just like these antivs are sinking the tea party and it’s candidate – couldn’t happen soon enough!
Antivs =Antics
did we really need to turn this thread into a political thread? Ugh
It’s multitasking – true multitasking, the way Samsung intended it! Their message is clear; ADD is not a curse but a blessing.
And the Fandroids gobble it up. Hey, it’s a feature that you can’t find on the iPhone, that’s all that matters. Throw it in! *rolls eyes*
Sorry for the confusion, this was intended as a reply to the very first post in this thread made by TheRight:
“You can watch a video while sending an email.” – WTH kind of selling point is that!?
Hey Obama, just boycott Samsung and you win easily.
Let’ really put Hitler in the perspective he belongs”
…The opposition in this year has already imported into this campaign a very interesting thing, because it is foreign. They have imported the propaganda technique invented by the dictators abroad. Remember, a number of years ago, there was a book, Mein Kampf, written by Hitler himself. The technique was all set out in Hitler’s book – and it was copied by the aggressors of Italy and Japan. According to that technique, you should never use a small falsehood; always a big one, for its very fantastic nature would make it more credible – if only you keep repeating it over and over and over again.”-Campaign dinner address of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (the Fala speech)

My above answer is to a poisonous “Hitler” comparison. To put that name in the proper perspective, here is an uncanny speech given by FDR. It’s amazing How short our collective memory is. Ignorance abounds.

Sigh.
Samsung can’t make their own design, can’t get away with stealing, and can’t make a convincing commercial.
They can’t figure out how to steal a good ad campaign.
Don’t stand in line. They will ship you one.
I want to see someone build a ‘Day 2’ comparison commercial…. Samsung: phones thrown out the window, their owners pulling their hair out, on tech support; Apple: Serenity, Nivrvana, Bliss..
They missed the latest feature … the 3 billion Apple today asked the court to have Samsdung pay for their infringing pieces of shit.
Where did they find another S III to send a playlist to? They should have said “Hey look at these special pants I had made with the really large pockets so I can fit my 3 III in them.
If the next big thing is already here why did they announce the S 4 coming in February?
Samsung can put thier samscaca phone in their arse and become speakable ass the way they speak so you can smell thier fart really bad so its a speakable arse phone ! its can speak from the ass that you can put it in , let the ass do the talking
Shameless jealous maniacal SamDung once again shows Apple why they need to use its billions to help other suppliers take away their business from Apple.
There is “Bump” application for that.
No NFC is needed to bump two iPhones together or even to (God forbid) Android phone.
OMG, I so want to give everyone my playlist! And then, then, then – OMG I am so giddy about this – they can all go buy all the songs on my 1500 song playlist so they can actually listen to them! And did you see how you just bump the two phones together to do that? That is so bromantic! But, but what is really cool is you don’t have to wait in line to get a Galaxy – you just walk right into the Samsung store and buy one! What?? There are no Samsung stores? Well, if there were, I am sure they’d look just like Apple stores! So there!
Yeah, they’re called Telstra stores in some places.
samsung doesn’t advertise it’s own products because they know it’s crap an ad defenitely not better than the Iphone 4(s) and 5.
so what do they do? instead of innovating they steal from apple. but apple is always one step ahead so what do they do next. they try to mock the Iphone five. in the commercial they want to show that apple is for senior citizens only. Shamesung how low can you go? I will never by a samsunbg product again. this company is really pissing me off! so no samsung tv or anything else! FU Shamesung!
The purpose of this commercial is to try to comfort Samsung owners with buyers remorse by attempting to paint the iPhone as old hat and uncool. It is hard to believe that anyone would fall for this commercial. But then again, the people they are targeting were stupid enough to buy a Samsung Galaxy in the first place. It’s really sad.
Really? Can you imagine any IPhone users actually wanting to clink their phones directly together to share a playlist?!
Maybe if the iPhone were made of Lego plastic, but since it’s made of multiple beautiful, gleaming materials, Damsung, you can keep that so-called “feature” to yourself.
This ad does the same thing their FB campaign did: advertise for Apple.
This is so embarrassing for those who are Samdung users. The only people that get off on this stupidity are the iHaters and Android-Freeloaders.
