“A set of rendered photos depict a what fully-assembled version of Apple’s 2012 iPhone may look like, based on previously leaked components,” Josh Ong reports for AppleInsider.
“The renders, which were published by Chinese site iPhone中文网, are based on rumors that have suggested the next iPhone will have a smaller dock, larger speakers and a metal back,” Ong reports. “While the original report was duped by the pictures, they originally stem from a Flickr user, who explained they were modeled in Rhinoceros 3D and are an authentic looking forgery.”
Ong reports, “The renders also depict the rumored longer 4-inch screen that some insiders believe is bound for the sixth-generation iPhone.”

no no no
Ill eat my hat if these are even close to what Apple is doing
Looks nice from here. I like the two tone back
I hope it’s a beanie….
Horrendous!
Why? The only significant difference visually is the matt rear panel. If that small difference causes you such offence, then you are a very sad person, frankly. Stick a gloss rear protector on it, and quit your whining. Jeezus, some people!
Funny, I think it’s gorgeous. It would be a nice design evolution from the current design.
I saw this other places already today. There is a simple reason this is fake. There is no way they would be testing a new iPhone with iOS 5. The maps app does not match the new iOS 6 one. This is 100% BS. But, it certainly got a lot of people to post it.
Rendered means all elements are produced digitally. Fake is the point. It’s a visualization of what the iPhone 5 would look like based on all the rumors and parts shown so far. iOS 6 is too new for it to be incorporated in the finished rendered work.
These photos are a work of art, because they are not photos, they are more like digital paintings using math.
It’s a RENDERING. No need to analyze what OS is being used.
i like it…a lot
Comon
Still no vegan option?
What is that little thing between the camera and the flash? Is that a back-side mic?
The video of the unibody case showed it to be all metal. There did not appear to be a glass plus metal back, even though the unibody part was two toned. For me, I really like this design and when it is seen and held, millions upon millions will buy it.
Unreal, gorgeous renderings. Our alleged president should have hired this guy to create his birth certificate.
Still don’t see Apple releasing a portable device without prominent Apple branding.
First impression I don’t like the matted back, however I will reserve judgment until the final product is released. Apple only does good things in my book so I’ll have faith.
I don’t care what it looks like. I will have one on day one.
