“The Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia [NY] booked a last-minute reservation for a star guest last night: Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple along with Steve Jobs,” Adam Sichko reports for The Business Review.
“Wozniak was coming from Buffalo, where he was speaking at a business seminar,” Sichko reports. “He canceled a flight to San Francisco, rented a car and made the late-night drive to the Capital Region.”
Sichko reports, “The mission: Visit a horse named after him at Peaceful Acres Horses Inc., which rescues those animals from being slaughtered. Wozniak spent the night at the Glen Sanders, which is owned by restaurateur Angelo Mazzone. That’s according to John Scheib, a friend of Wozniak’s who arranged his visit to the farm… Wozniak donated the money needed to rescue “Woz” hours before the horse was set to be slaughtered, said Scheib, who volunteers at the farm. Scheib said he has known Wozniak for more a dozen years, since the two met at a patent office where Scheib worked.”
