Report: 6 of top 10 enterprise devices using Good Technology are iOS, 97% of tablets are iPad

“In its Q1 2012 report of device activations by platform, multi-platform software company Good Technology analyzed thousands of activated smartphones through its network of enterprise customers,” Jordan Kahn reports for 9to5Mac.

“Apple’s CEO Tim Cook noted this week during Apple’s Q2 earnings call that the iPad was now being deployed or tested by 94 percent of the Fortune 500s and 75 percent of the Global 500,” Kahn reports. “Good Technology’s numbers show the iPad and iPhone together continue to dominate Android in the enterprise market with roughly 73.9-percent of all smartphone activations and 97.3-percent of tablet activations during Q1. Apple’s iOS devices together took 80 percent of total activations, which is up 10 percent from last year.”

      1. Overheard from the Samsung “Wake Up” bus: Just you wait until Samsung’s “Note” tablet gets released! Then you’ll be sorr… What’s that? Already released in most European, India and East Asian markets in December and in the US in February huh. Five million sold in Jan-Feb-Mar quarter. Sure it’s not 50 million? No. Only five million… Hmm, okay… Never mind, the folks must still be asleep. Guess we need to call tech support on our photo copier size reduction button not working so well! What to do? What to do?

  1. I’ve got GoodFE on my iPhone to get my work email. I like it as it means I don’t have to have my laptop with me every night and weekend and don’t have to carry around a work BB. I put it on my iPad too, but they wouldn’t authorize access to my account from multiple devices.
