Fox News’ Morris reviews new Apple iPad: ‘Easily the best tablet I’ve ever seen; a giant leap for connected mankind’ (with video)

“The new iPad includes a better display, faster performance, better camera, and a snappy new operating system,” Clayton Morris writes for Fox News. “Those may seem like small steps in the tablet space. But having used the new iPad for the past week now, I can tell you it’s a giant leap for connected mankind.”

“That said, if you got an iPad 2 for Christmas, don’t feel bad about being a generation behind,” Morris writes. “The iPad 2 is still leaps and bounds ahead of the competition, in my opinion. But if you’ve been waiting to get a tablet until now, is this a good time to pull the trigger? Heck yes!”

Morris writes, “The new iPad is easily the best tablet I’ve ever seen… At the risk of sounding like Billy Mays, I’ll say this of the retina display: You have to see it to believe it. “Retina display” is Apple’s way of describing the resolution of the screen, which is now 2,048-by-1,536 or 3.1 million pixels. Think of it this way: The HD TV in your living room is only 1,920-by-1,080. So simple math tells you that this is more, packed into a smaller space. It makes text on the screen simply astonishing, and the Internet has never looked so good. It’s quite simply the best screen for reading I’ve ever seen.”

        1. Fox “news” is Satan because it is damaging to this society due to the fact that it is predominantly bias and lies that informs its “news.” It’s so heartwarming and inspiring to learn through MDN’s headlines that heroic figures like Rush Limbaugh (cough, vomit) and employees of Fox news like Apple products! Makes ya think- maybe they’re the good guys, and if 15 news sources say something bad about Apple we blame the “rag” known as the NY Times. This sadly, hurts one’s credibility in general. Let’s all check our “biases” at the door- I will if you will. If you Can.

        2. Come onnnnnn, auramac. Sam was commenting on de commenters. Apparently your reading comprehension is lacking – let me guess, did you go to one of de public schools that rich liberals love so much they make sure they don’t let their own kids go to them??

          Yeh-heh-heh-hehesssssss . . .

Oh, and by the way, nice personal icon you’ve got there. No really, I’ve never seen something so attractive and well-thought out. I mean, it’s small enough to pass for Katie Couric’s last brain scan.

Hey, I keed. I keed because I care.

  1. Wow. So many negative reviews today…. They definitely don’t make me want to go stand in line to get one tomorrow! You get that everyone? Don’t go stand in line to get one. Nice, empty stores is what I’m looking for (at least in the Atlanta area).

    😉

      1. All “Faux Newz” is editorial, it’s G.O.P. TV realized

“…Roger Ailes launched Fox News Channel in 1996, ostensibly as a “fair and balanced” counterpoint to what he regarded as the liberal establishment media. But according to a remarkable document buried deep within the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, the intellectual forerunner for Fox News was a nakedly partisan 1970 plot by Ailes and other Nixon aides to circumvent the “prejudices of network news” and deliver “pro-administration” stories to heartland television viewers.”

  2. You libs are funny in how you make FoxNews out to the bogeyman. FoxNews has news and it has commentators. There is a distinct difference.

FoxNews has people on both sides of the political aisle on their shows to discuss issues – unlike others that stack the fight.

And if FoxNews is so bad, why is it that they always rank #1in viewership in every time slot for every market that they compete in?

Maybe you could repeat the liberal mantra that all FoxNews viewers are stupid. But believe it or not, almost 50% of FoxNews viewers are registered Democrats.

So just as many conservatives as Democrats choose to watch FoxNews for news and opinion coverage. Rather than trying to silence political opponents as the left tries to do (e.g. fairness doctrine), FoxNews encourages it.

The reason why Fox is winning on TV and conservative radio shows rule the airwaves is very simple – at the end of the day when you have said all your liberal positions – you have to ideas that work, based on fact and experience.

And that’s what conservatives do (even the Democratic ones) – you have to ideas that work. For instance, liberals accuse conservatives of being anti-union or anti-worker. But nearly every state’s and almost every city’s budget are collapsing under the weight of union pensions and compensation schemes.

That’s why conservatives believe that union influence needs to be checked. Simply borrowing more money that you can’t pay back isn’t a solution. And you can’t keep trying to tax the wealth creators because as California, Illinois, and New York has found – it doesn’t bring in more revenue – the rich either find ways to preserve their wealth or they leave.

And they aren’t waging a war on women either. They just don’t want the government to force entities of conscience to pay for contraceptives so women can have sex whenever they want. The same argument would be true of men then – employers should pay for condoms.

Heck, let’s just force insurance companies to buy healthy meals for everyone because don’t we want a healthy country?

Sometimes you liberals should listen to what you say instead of trying to shout down your opponents with divisive vitriol.

  3. Am I missing something? What’s offensive about this? It was an enjoyable lighthearted view of the new iPad. Why, oh why, does every damn conversation have to turn into a conservative vs. liberal one? This is just a fun look at a product from a company we all enjoy – Apple. Nothing more! Nothing less!
