“Are employees at Apple already using the so-called iPad 3—possibly running iOS 6—to surf the Web ahead of its expected announcement on March 7? We’re not sure, but the Ars magic 8-ball says ‘signs point to yes,'” Jacqui Cheng reports for Ars Technica.
“While digging through our logs in preparation for our monthly browser stat report, we found 346 visits from a device with a screen resolution of 2048×1536—the exact resolution rumored for the “retina” display in the next-generation iPad,” Cheng reports. “To add to this discovery, we began looking at iPad user agents coming from Apple’s corporate IP block in Cupertino and discovered that Apple appears to be surfing the Web using iPads running what looks like iOS 6.0.”

Well yea, the analysts will hammer them because it was not 8″, 50 hour battery life, LTE whatever, weigh 2 oz. and cost $52.
…and doesn’t have a USB port, a VGA port, 1TB of storage, no 3-D glasses, no NFC, no RFD, no LSAT, doesn’t do multi-tasking or have dual panes, no built-in radar detector, has such a lo-res camera, no Flash, no dongle port, no file system, can’t be jailbroken, not enough free apps, the list goes on and on…
As Squiggles might say, it’s going to be TOST on a BUN with no BUTR, PBJ or TUNA.
And the real BUMMER is it is not available in a rainbow of colors ……

Haha. You wish. No matter how disappointed the genius tech critics are, it likely won’t have much affect upon driving the shares down long-term. As long as consumers like and buy the next iPad, Apple has nothing to worry about. To hell with the critics, they probably don’t buy anything and there’s only a handful of those know-it-all morons. In the long run, Apple’s share price is consumer-driven.

There’s an investing axiom that says “But the dream, sell the reality” – that seems to apply to Apple. The stock runs crazy the week leading up to an Event, then promptly collapses after the Event. It always comes back – but if you’ve got the guts, there’s money to be made there.
You are correct Think, it does not matter what the iPad 3 turns out to be, bloggers and analysts will find something to cry about.
For every recent release of the recent iPads, iPhones, and iPods, there have been 100’s if not 1000’s of positive articles from bloggers and analyst for every negative article. 99.9% of the public love these devices and have shown it with their purchasing power. I think this whole crybaby attitude about not meeting Fantasmagical expectations have come mostly from the “commenters” on blog sites… not the bloggers themselves.
Get over it and prepare to be wowed!!

What are you on about? This is about ArsT’s web server logging the details of devices browsing the site, it’s got bugger-all to do with Android, and I’m pretty sure it’s something all web servers do in order for the sysadmins to check for any problems that might crop up.
Do you have this inherent right to complain about what others comment on?
