“Intel is rumored to release a total of 25 new 22-nanometer Ivy Bridge processors on April 8, 2012, signaling a potential launch window for Apple’s next generation of Macs,” Slash Lane reports for AppleInsider.
“Intel will release 17 desktop CPUs and 8 notebook Ivy Bridge processors in early April, DigiTimes reported on Wednesday. The initial chips are said to include models 3820QM and 3720QM, priced at $568 and $378, respectively, which could be candidates for Apple’s MacBook Pro lineup,” Lane reports. “The notebook Ivy Bridge processors will feature the new Intel HD Graphics 4000 architecture. Intel’s M-Series lineup is expected to have nominal thermal design power of between 35 watts and 55 watts.”
Lane reports, “Set for a ‘later’ launch, according to the report, are the Core i7-3667U and Core i5-3427U processors, intended for Intel’s Ultrabook lineup. Those processors would also be possible candidates for Apple’s own thin-and-light notebook, the MacBook Air.”

I need my Mofo-ing MAC PROS!
Coming up next…toll bridge.
Troll bridge?
No, toll bridge. You can only open the laptop when you swipe it with a credit card… ;-D
As long as they’re out an in the new MBPs in time for next year’s Black Friday sales, I’m happy.
MacPro ????
(not interested in anything that doesn’t have card slots… or is stuck with a glossy screen.)
I am to be wondering if Thunderbolt’s full implementation will make card slots disappear…
I’m fine with Thunderbolt… as long as I can still access existing esata raid towers, and my Blackmagic Decklink card.
Love to have Thunderbolt for HDTV editing. It’s just not coming very fast. :/
I’m with you on that. I’m just about ready to replace my Quad Core Xeon Mac Pro. The current models are not a big enough jump to be worthwhile.
2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
6 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)
2x 2 TB & 2x 1.5 TB Internal Hard Drives
Great Computer.
I’ll snap up one of the new 15″ MBPs with 8GB of RAM, 750 GB HD.
1!
I NEED A NEW MAC PRO WITH THUNDERBOLT.
