“BGR has learned a number of details surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone from a close source,” Jonathan S. Geller reports for BGR.
“We can now confidently say that Apple’s next iPhone will launch in the fall next year, around the same time that this year’s iPhone 4S launched,” Geller reports. “We have also learned that Apple is planning to use a rubber or plastic material — similar to the material used in the company’s bumper cases — that will be built into the new iPhone case.”
Geller reports, “It will join the glass iPhone face with a new aluminum back plate. It will also cover a redesigned antenna system that surrounds the device…”

From what I’ve heard, the next iPhone will include a new type of chemical joining to will improve FLAN bonds between non-similar materials. Inside, improvements in nanotechnology will facilitate a sleeker shape with added power.
Yum. I love FLAN!!
Any new rumors on the implantable iPhone?
Here we go again…
Agree; just another rumour. BGR is a tabloid.
And, of course, there will be no complete redesign since outer antenna concept is unique to Apple and gives advantages in both smaller size of device and better connection in lower signal areas.
My empty life has suddenly become SO worthwhile, now that the year-off-iPhone rumors have started.
If they can up the capacity to 128Gb, then I’ll be happy. I’ll be upgrading to the next model regardless.
After last falls’ fiasco of guesses and predictions, I am never falling for that again ever. I’ll just wait and see or hear it from apple’s mouth.
+1
If they are integrating rubber, perhaps it will be feasible to keep it naked.
There’s a pun in there somewhere. I’ll leave it up to your imaginations to find it!
The rubber is for safety’s sake in case you drop the ball and don’t use protection for your junk… I think there is a pun in there too!
Oh, not a new phone! I just bought mine and it will be obsolete in less than a year😉
OMG!
You mean Apple is rumored to be releasing new improved products EVERY YEAR? Heaven forbid!
You know it’s funny to say but really that was how Apple undermined and unseated the wintel cartel (and the telecom oligopoly. They were accustomed to not producing anything new for years (even decades) at a stretch. Then Apple comes along with rapid product development and evolution. And this not the trifling inconsequential features that the industry had been getting by on, but real significant (even revolutionary) increases in usefulness and quality and utility.
The competitors wilted under the pressure of actually innovating something, and have since taken to just trying to slavishly copying everything apple produces. (though to a fault they are a day late and a dollar short)
