“Apple is scheduled to pull into Grand Central Terminal with a sleek new store on the weekend beginning Friday, Dec. 9 — just in time for the final two weeks of the Christmas shopping crunch,” Garret Sloane and James Covert report for The New York Post.
“Railroad officials are busy preparing for the throngs of Apple enthusiasts that are expected to swarm into Grand Central for the opening — in addition to the 700,000 commuters that pass through on any given day,” Sloane and Covert report. “t was unclear whether the Dec. 9 event would be a VIP-only celebration at the 23,000-square-foot store — with the official grand public opening possibly happening the next day, a Saturday.”
