Apple seeded OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D16) to developers today, Jake Smith reports for 9to5Mac.
“The set focus areas for this release are iCloud document storage, Address Book, iCal, and Mail,” Smith reports. “10.7.3 weighs in at 633MB, and has no known issues right now.”
Smith reports, “OS X Server 10.7.3 is also accompanying today’s update, with the same focus areas and build number.”

Yeah, there are “no known issues right now” because Apple has been dishonestly closing our critical bugs as fixed, even when they have privately acknowledged that they have not been fixed. Jerks.

Brave of you, Developer to post this here – a place where Apple has never made any mistake of any kind, never had a glitch – much less any kind of problem, and where Apple has never lied about anything even when they denied that anything at all was not working as promised. And, if you shared some contrary experience, you are immediately declared a troll or an idiot, or stupid or whatever. But, your experience is far more the reality than the claims of the blind gang of lemmings that populate these posts.

I wish they would fix safari. It’s virtually unusable on my system now as it just eats memory. My Mac is hardly new, but it’s not exactly ancient and runs everything else fine.
Any chance of getting the 3 column iCal back? I don’t mind the new look, it’s just that rearranging things by groups takes a step or two longer than usual, which isn’t efficient.

Still hoping for a fix to the woeful wifi issues in Lion, which are widely complained about in some monster threads on Apple’s very own Discussion Boards, as well as elsewhere. (You can google for “OS X Lion wifi issues” or “Lion wifi dropped connections”. Lion is having a problem maintaining the same wifi connectivity as Snow Leopard, using the same hardware.)
Biggest issues I am having with a mere three email accounts in Mail on four Macs all synced via iCloud is that I am constantly being asked for a password (which is set up and ‘remembered’ in Mail preferences, keychain), being asked for the smtp after Mail can’t remember that it is already set up in Mail preferences, and constantly being thrown offline. And, I’m wired via ethernet as I have long ago given up on the Airport wireless network working like it was suppose to work. No, my friends, the OS DOES NOT ‘just work’. Apple lies.
And, one more thing. Multiple calls to Apple Care confirm that they haven’t a clue how to make it work. Senior tech guys equally as clueless as the front line lightweights who now answer the phone when I use the very, very expensive Apple Care service. This all is very reminiscent of my darkest experiences with my company’s Windows world.
Lion has been, overall, very good for me. However, various bluetooth problems are a continual nuisance. In my experience, Lion is definitely not as worked out as many versions of OS X was at the same level of development (.2 release). As others have pointed out, I’m not alone in that assessment.
What I find so ironic is that many of the same people who are practically having a stroke over the unwashed masses’ inability to see how much better the iPad is over the Fire (which it certainly is), can’t see the obvious deficiencies in Lion, particularly in comparison with recent past versions.
Did this fix the horrid UI on the new iCal?
