“Wealth managers prefer using Apple products for business rather than Research in Motion’s BlackBerry devices, a survey by Aite Group showed on Thursday,” Ashley Lau reports for Reuters.
“Of 402 financial advisers polled, 45 percent said they would choose an Apple iPhone or iPad, while 14 percent would pick a BlackBerry,” Lau reports. “The research firm, which focuses on financial services, conducted the survey in March, well before the recent RIM outage which left large pockets of BlackBerry users around the world without access to email and other functions.”

I’m sure there must be Blackberries in New Zealand but I’ve never seen one and do not know anyone who uses one.
Everyone I know who uses a Blackberry has done so for many years and just fear change.
Then number of new Blackberry users these days must be miniscule.
I am an apple person myself, but I guess if you use the word “beleaguered” often enuff, people will believe it?
Do you seriously believe that they are not?
I used to say that RIM would be either bought out or go under before 2015. Now I think it’s more like 2013 – and that may be too conservative.
Unstated in the article is that 41% still prefer two cans and a piece of string.
