Emerging middle classes to boost Apple sales by $68 billion by 2015

“Apple could generate another $18 in earnings per share and $68 billion from sales, up 55% from this year’s base, in emerging markets by 2015, a team of analysts at Credit Suisse wrote in a report released Tuesday,” Brian Caulfield reports for Forbes.

“A team of six Credit Suisse analysts argue Apple will find [new customers] in what they call the ’emerging middle classes,'” Caulfield reports. “Middle class Americans already spend $321 per year on Apple products, a figure that will rise to $481 per year by 2015.”

    1. Yes, definitely!!!

It’s amazing how successful Obama’s been in boosting incomes in the countries mentioned in the article: China, India, Brazil, Mexico and Russia. How perceptive of you to suggest a political slant on this subject!

  1. Anyone who read this article would have found out that it is talking about China, India, Brazil, Russia, Mexico…

But as we all know, actual subject matter never prevented political trolls to come out of the woodwork and blast away at each other.

        1. Eric, but the article points out that middle class Americans are projected to increase their own spending from $321 per year to $481. This is without considering other countries’ strengthening middle class.

It’s even in the short excerpt quoted by MDN. I’m starting to think y’all are misreading it because you don’t want it to be true.

        2. Oh, yeah, I missed that part. Thanks for pointing that out.

Believe me, I would love to see a strengthening middle class under President Obama. I would love to see it strengthened even more than it already is! 😀

  2. We all know this doesn’t apply to America. The middle class is almost dead. In America, the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. I have no opposition to taxing the rich. Maybe unions can be strengthened and bring back a middle-class.

    1. Absolutely correct, KSH. If the (insert “left”t or “right”) doesn’t figure out that they are part of the problem, the US will become a 3rd world country within 25 years.
