“According to confirmed information we have received from a reliable source at Canadian carrier Telus, Apple’s iPhone 5 looks to be touching down on October 1st in Canada,” Jonathan S. Geller reports for BGR.
“It is currently unclear if Apple intends to launch the iPhone 5 in the U.S. and Canada at the same time or if we’re still looking at a September launch stateside, which we see as being likely,” Geller reports. “We have seen seen an internal Telus document that lists October 1st as the launch date, and while the first could just be a place holder, we do not believe that is the case in this instance.”

I think this is unlikely because Oct 1 is a Saturday. Maybe Friday September 30.
It’s highly possible that iOS 5 will be launched the end of September and the iPhone 5 is going with it.
In any case, Canadian Thanksgiving will the the following weekend and this will make a lot of us very thankful!
