HTC’s ‘Chief Innovation Officer’ resigns

“BGR has exclusively learned that Horace Luke, former Chief Innovation Officer at HTC, has left the company as of April 30th 2011,” Zach Epstein reports for BGR. “‘Horace Luke, HTC’s chief innovation officer, has left HTC for personal reasons. Horace nurtured a culture of innovation at HTC and instilled a strong consumer design-focus among our employees who continue to raise the bar in designing products that capture our customers’ imagination,’ HTC told BGR in a statement.”

Epstein reports, “Luke had been at HTC since November 2006 when he left his role as Creative Director at Microsoft to join the emerging Taiwan-based smartphone vendor.”

MacDailyNews Take: Trained in photocopying for nine years at Microsoft.

So what happened, did he lose his iOS Dev Center password and couldn’t download iOS betas anymore?

HTC having a “Chief Innovation Officer” is like Ballmer having a “Chief Hair Stylist.”

        1. He has a right to be “rude”. That private school education will lead to college, career, and becoming a CEO, flying around in a corporate jet, making money for himself, profits for the shareholders and jobs for the ‘right’ people who vote for idiots that think the “rude” person isn’t paying their fair share. The ‘right’ people will keep voting those idiots who want to take more from those that are a success and give to the ‘successfully challenged’ as opposed to looking at what was the cause of the ‘right’ people not becoming a success.

        2. Mr. Now: That first period should be inside the quotes. Decide whether to use double quotes or single quotes. Rather than “those that are a success” I suggest “those who are successful.”

        3. Even, “those whom are successful.”

Only in the US is that considered grammatically correct, in the rest of the English speaking world it is not.

  1. Was he responsible for their hardware designs? If so thats a loss their hardware is solid.

If he wasn’t involved in hardware design man he had a cake job

  2. As someone who also posts as FactChecker sometimes, I want to say, that wasn’t me. But, along with write/right, (and it’s/its), their/there/they’re, your/you’re and the like do drive me crazy. A little less so in comments than in articles, but even so…
