  1. My iPhone 4 download was 666.6 (I know!) Mb and took 10 minutes.
My iPad 2 is 614.9 and said it would take 80 minutes!
I stopped and then resumed and it took 12.

Hey, how bout that new DATA center….?

    1. Considering how well Apple served up over a million downloads of OS X Lion (which would add up to around 4 thousand Terabytes!), I’d say they’re doing pretty well so far!

      1. I don’t know.
I re-downloaded Lion so as to make a DVD copy and it took over 12 hours.

This was after I stopped, started, postponed, retried, stopped again, and then gave up and let it go all night.

        1. when i first downloaded Lion on the MBP on day one, it WAS slow.. took like 2.5 hours. also had to start/stop once.

I figured it was just the day one rush.

Yesterday i downloaded it for my iMac, took like 35 minutes.. and that was with my Playing a game online on the Gaming rig 🙂

    2. yeah i’ll be glad once iOS 5 hits.. OTA updates.

I only updated my iPad right now, I needed to charge it anyway. My iPhone i’ll probably update tonight when i don’t need it.

years ago.. I had a phone call right as the update started.
while it didn’t botch the update, i did have to start all over again.

      1. Next time hit the lock key on top of the phone and it will continue to download.

And if it’s your woman calling, don’t EVER tell them that’s what you did…..never.

Tell ’em you were snorting’ blow off a hooker’s @$$, or you’re gay, but don’t EVER tell them you skipped a call for an iPhone update……

        1. I always put the phone in airplane mode before I start the update, that way no phone call can possibly interrupt the update process, whether it’s my woman is calling or not.
