“The white iPhone 4 goes on sale Thursday. Apple’s new white iPhone 4 has sold out in some Asian markets, analysts and sites reported today,” Gregg Keizer reports for Computerworld.
“The long-delayed white iPhone 4, which went on sale in 28 countries earlier Thursday, sold out in Beijing, said Brian White, an analyst with Ticonderoga Securities,” Keizer reports. “‘Our checks today indicate that the ‘white’ iPhone 4 was sold out on launch day in Beijing,’ said White in an email.

Wow. For a 10 month old phone. Damn!
The Holy Grail at last.
White Out!
Both white and black are the colors of mourning in China.
Red and gold are the colors of celebration. When will the red and gold iPhones be available?
Not to be a wet blanket, but how large were the stocks?
I know it was you, Fredo; you broke my heart!
Contract for my wife’s iPhone 3G is up 5/13, and she’s been having trouble with it for a couple of months now. I want to upgrade her phone post-haste. I don’t know if I should just get her the (awesome) iPhone 4 right away (white or black, she says she doesn’t care, but I think the white would be nice), or wait at least till the WWDC announcements to see if anything interested is mentioned 😉
Not that she has to have the latest and greatest (which currently the iPhone 4 is), but a few weeks difference may result in a nice payoff. Thoughts?
Did you guys not notice the guy’s name is Brian White?
The White iPhone 4 has better reception. It’s not 10 months old.
It is even getting hard to find FAKE iPhones in China. The demand is just too high! I got my FAKE iPhone, only $50!
Blizzard!.
The white one is apparently thicker also.
The appeal of the white iPhone is not merely occidental.
BUT, just wait until they come out with the yellow iPhone.
